Germany Tours in Spring

Excellent trip! This is a great introduction to eastern Europe. The places were very interesting, the hotels were really nice and in great locations to make walking to different areas and shops easy, and the local specialists were absolutely incredible.

Nice variety and balance of everything from the beautiful cathedrals, castles and palaces to outdoor mountain tops and even a small farm. All of the shows from knee slapping and toe stomping traditional dance and music, to the opera were excellent. Hotel accommodations were all very good, as well as the luggage transport and handling. Our tour guide was super knowledgeable and even took plenty of group pictures and videos.

Wonderful trip, loved Munich and Vienna the most. Excellent travel director and driver. Great group of people, everyone got along very well. Weather was magnificent, only rained a couple of times and for a very short period of time. Scenery was gorgeous all throughout trip. Enjoyed-high speed train from Cologne to Berlin.

Wonderful overview of Germany. I cannot recommend our tour director, driver & local experts highly enough. Highlight for me was Rhine cruise followed by Be My Guest lunch in a castle. Most of hotels located within walking distance of old town so I used free time at end of day to go back & explore & take more photos once crowds had gone.

Incredible experience riding our bikes through small towns and countrysides, visiting some fabulously large cities, following the Danube through Germany, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Slovakia and Serbia. Met some great people, ate some wonderful food all the while cycling around 50 kms per day. Highly recommend this trip to the Iron Gate!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long cycle along the Danube from Passau to Vienna. The bikes were excellent and we had no issues along the way. We enjoyed the changing landscape and cycling through villages, agricultural areas, vineyards as well as along the river. Several of the days were longer than 60kms, due to where our accommodation was located. All in all, an excellent trip and holiday!
