Frankfurt-am- Main, the largest city in the state of Hesse, stands out from other German towns because of its distinct, future-oriented character. Since it’s one of the most important financial hubs of Europe and the world, a visit to Frankfurt will allow you to witness its hurried pace of life, large-scale trade shows and dazzling skyscrapers. It is because of this modern vibe that the locals sometimes jokingly refer to their city as “Manhattan”. And yet, the Hessian hub is still home to numerous museums, fine art galleries, upmarket eateries and chic bars, making a trip to Frankfurt an excellent choice for all the travelers who enjoy the finer things in life. We recently had the pleasure of traveling with Europamondo, and we are beyond impressed with the entire experience. Everything was so well organized — from the smooth travel arrangements to the excellent hotels chosen, which made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our guide was absolutely outstanding, professional, and always ready to help, making the journey not only easy but also enriching especially Kareem and Mustafa. The entire trip exceeded our expectations, and we truly appreciated the care and quality that went into every detail. We will definitely travel again with Europamondo and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a seamless and memorable travel experience.

It's a great tour which covers all the main cities of Germany so it gives you a great overview of the country - just what the name of the tour suggests. We had a great tour guide, Larae, and a wonderful bus driver, Attila. The coach was very comfortable as were the hotels we stayed at. The dinners organized were a wonderful experience and overall there wasn't anything else we could have asked for.

Perhaps more time in Munich.? Very rushed with no shopping time if one does all the extra excursions. Would have loved to browse in the city centre.

, the Tour Director was fantastic, informative and considerate. The tour was well organized, reasonably paced and the sites visited would need a lot of research to see independently. Hotels were good, bus travel comfortable. Well worth travelling with Trafalgar for Best of Germany tour

It was amazing. We were all looked after very well. Accommodation was great and very comfortable. Our tour guide and bus drive brilliant. Always looking after everyone. The people on tour were lovely. We all got a long very well. I learned though, that you can say no to optional other activities if you are wanting time away from everyone. Time to enjoy the pool at your hotel etc.

Best of Germany was a fun adventure. There are a couple of things I would suggest. The tour guide in Dresden knew a lot of information, but she kept us standing in one spot after another for long periods of time, and she was hard to hear. Found the woodworking place boring. Sorry I would have liked to visit more castles. Hotels were great. My 16-year-old grandson liked the tour, but he wasn't too keen on the food. *personal info removed by Feefo* in Berlin, was excellent. Porcilian factory, my grandson had no desire to see. Everything was rather rushed, we need to slow down a bit, let us explore and enjoy what we are seeing. Maybe have a hands-on project at one of the stops. Have a game where each person gets a sheet with daily activities to check off, and ask the tour agent to see if people notice this—some game where you can explore and see more. Learn history. Have a language sheet that can help us understand the language better. Name tags for each traveler, so it’s easier to remember their names. The pillows in the Rotherburg hotel were terrible. They need to upgrade them. The night waterman in Rotherburg was super, that should be on the tour. Did not go to Nuremberg, explored Rothenburg instead. Tour guy *personal info removed by Feefo* in Rotherburg was great too. We had A LOT OF RAIN. Need to slow down so we can see what we are seeing. Grandson loved the printing press; he got to do it and keep what he printed—made his day. Hands-on things so we can make things. Just some thoughts

Frankfurt - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Tour Highlights

  • Altstadt, or Frankfurt’s old town center, is where you will find the city’s historical buildings, including the Römerberg (town hall), the 14th-century Dom (Saint Bartholomeus' Cathedral) and the Old St. Nicholas Church.
  • Museumsufer is a special district that sprawls along both banks of the Main River, where you can visit one of Frankfurt’s many cultural spots. It is in this area that you will find the famous Städel art gallery, Museum for Communication and German Film Museum.
  • Located in the southern part of the town, Frankfurt City Forest is the largest urban forest in Germany, spanning 48 square kilometers. It is an ideal getaway if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city center.
  • Palmengarten is a 19th-century botanical oasis located in the Westend-Süd district that is
also home to numerous exotic plant species.

Travel Tips

  • If you happen to spend your holidays in Frankfurt when the weather is pleasant, make sure to stroll down the Main River and soak up the atmosphere of the city like the locals do.
  • Since Frankfurt is one of the main commercial hubs in Europe, it’s advisable to book your stay outside of major trade fairs, as this is when accommodation prices in the city tend to skyrocket.
  • If you want to try a local delicacy, visit one of the restaurants in the Sachsenhausen district and ask for “ebbelwoi” (Hesse-style apple wine).
