Germany Tours in August 2026

We had a wonderful boat and bike holiday on the Danube. The accomodation was great. Lovely and clean, and more room than we expected. Each night delicious 4 course meals were served. The staff were fantastic. Highly recommend and we would definitely do this again.

The bike/barge tour of the Danube on the MV Swiss Crown was everything we expected and more. The rooms were comfortable, the meals were truly superb, the logistics of the bike aspect, and the bikes themselves, were excellent. Our entire group marvelled at how much fun the tour was. Every day... something new and delightful.

The walk was very rewarding and the scenery was breathtaking. The trip was well organised, and the instructions were clear. All accommodation was comfortable and welcoming. I would highly recommend this walk.

Seeing the scenery of Switzerland & Austria in the summer months was breathtaking. The mountains, the valleys, and those mint green rivers are beautiful! Going up into a small mountain village was so fun. We met a young Alpine Horn maker in his small workshop , he’s one of a few in the world. He was accompanied by a married couple in their 80’s who had lived in the village their entire lives. She yodeled while he played the accordion. They were lovely.

We very much enjoyed the small group tour. Tomas, our tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable of every stop within the itinerary. We will definitely book with Collette again. It is impossible to to elaborate on our "favorite memorable experience" as each day was filled with such experiences. Always on my "bucket list" was to visit Auschwitz and Birkenau. How anyone can say that the Holocaust didn't happen, must visit the museum.

The Swiss Crown was a very nice boat - the staff were excellent - the food absolutely delicious. The bikes were awesome for the trip - each day we had an update of what to expect the next day - absolutely superb trails - all concrete and great highlights each day. Would recommend this trip to all.
