Ringo en Mahamoud waren buitengewoon deskundig, geduldig en motiverend. Hun kennis van de berg, hun aandacht voor ons welzijn en hun constante aanmoediging hebben een enorme rol gespeeld in ons succes. Zonder hen hadden we dit nooit gehaald. Daarnaast willen we ook het hele ondersteunende team bedanken: de dragers die met zoveel toewijding alles de berg op brachten, de ober die ons telkens met een vriendelijke glimlach bediende en natuurlijk de chef, die elke dag opnieuw heerlijke en voedzame maaltijden bereidde. Het voelde als pure luxe om op deze manier verzorgd te worden tijdens zo’n uitdagende trekking. De combinatie van professionaliteit, gastvrijheid en persoonlijke aandacht maakte deze ervaring onvergetelijk. Wij kunnen van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die de Kilimanjaro wil beklimmen!

The guide Eric and the porters were all incredibly kind and helpful throughout the trek. This ensured I was in the best possible frame of mind and body for summit night. The route itself is scenic and offers gradual acclimatization.

We had a very well organised trip to Uhuru Peak, all thanks to our tour guides Reyson and Gilbert. Also a big thank you to the cook, the waiter and the porters. Without their help, we would not have made it up to the top. I must say, this was a life changing experience!

We did the Lemosho route over the turn of the year, accompanied by our guides Raymond and Gilibert and their strong Porter-Team. At first, we weren't quite sure whether four "lowland-Indians" like us Germans would be able to conquer the almost 6,000 meter-high Kilimanjaro, but we decided to do on this adventure. Thanks to the incredibly warm and friendly nature of our team (I'll never forget Raymond looking in my eyes saying "My brother from another mother" 🥰), who always gave us their full support and stood by us physically and mentally, we managed it. I can only wish all interested parties an incredibly strong and supportive guide-duo like we had, then "Kill the Kili" is no longer just a saying but reality. Thank you very much — we will never forget that journey ❤

I have done some trekking in the Himalaya range and found this much more challenging. The weather was rough for a few days and you need to be very careful in some areas. I would prep more physically I think if I try again but I was able to summit. The guide was awesome, very motivational yet flexible. The porter and cook were great as well, the food was definitely more varied than what I've had for previous treks. On the clear nights you really can't beat the views. Highly Recommend

Everything was smooth and well organised from booking, to collection at the airport to summit and return to the airport. I ultimately chose to complete the journey alone (with the local travel specialist's team). I signed up for the Lemosho 7 day trek, but completed this one day early after a few conversations with Ben (my guide). Ben, Adam (cook), Elias (waiter) and the porters, Masai, Hussein and Jackson were all phenomenal throughout the trek. Without the team, I would never have made it to the top. They helped make my dream a reality! I would highly recommend them and especially Ben to anyone considering tackling Kilimanjaro. The only thing I would suggest double checking is that although a private toilet tent was included in the booking, this in fact never made it on my trek (this is something you REALLY want included and is well worth paying extra for).

Although not technically hard, Kilimanjaro is by no means an easy hike. Even without headaches and nausea, the decrease in appetite and increasing difficulty to fall asleep at high altitudes wears one out. For me there was an extra layer of hardship as I unexpectedly caught a cold prior to the hike, which got nasty as the trip went on. There was no way I could’ve summited without the amazing crew who supported me at every step. Dixon was our guide. He had 20+ years on Kili with 200+ summits under his belt, and that experience showed — I felt reassured as long as Dixon was in sight. Chengo, our assistant guide, was like a big brother, who always cheered us on along the hike. James, our porter+waiter, was the best service worker I have ever known. He was attentive to the smallest detail and genuinely cared about our well-being. The strong ginger tea that he got me every morning and evening greatly alleviated my cold. I cannot thank him enough. Not going to name everyone here, but the team was a true dream team. If there is one thing I wish I brought to the hike, that would probably be energy gels, especially for the summit night. Due to the lack of appetite I simply couldn’t get enough calories. Gaiters / masks would also be nice adds for dust protection. If you do decide to come, please make sure to Google / ask Noel for the tipping guide ahead of time. The price of the hike isn’t cheap, but after park fees (almost $1K/trekker for 7-day lemosho route), not much is going to the crew. So your tip will be a substantial amount of income for the porters and they depend on it. If I were to name a potential improvement, I hope there will be more health/safety checks. I don’t know what the procedure should be like, but the little device that checks heart rate and blood oxygen level (which didn’t always work) seemed a bit insufficient. After learning from the crew that people who failed to summit usually tipped poorly, I couldn’t help but think that the team might also be incorrectly incentivized. Safety should always come first. Overall I’m really happy that I picked the the 7-day Lemosho route which was breathtakingly scenic and offered a great acclimatization profile. The private tour also offered us much greater flexibility to tweak the schedule to best suit our needs. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I highly recommend Dixon’s team!

We actually took the 8 day trek. At age 65 we thought an extra day would be helpful. In actuality it was not needed. The trails while sometimes steep were well maintained. We were often in camp by 1400 even though we hiked slowly to conserve energy for ascent. We found the ascent challenging and were not as prepared for the cold as we should have been. In fact once the sun went down it was generally cold; bring more warm clothes than you think. We chose Lemosho route because it traversed the forest ecoregion and thoroughly enjoyed the trek

Can't say enough about this tour operator! Everything from the food, to the porters, to the guides were nothing but the best. Special shoutout to our guides Eric and Willy for making sure we got the job done!

Couldn't have asked for a better group to hike Kili with!! They took care of all the little details so we could just focus on hiking the mountain and helped make it a trip of a lifetime.If you're considering hiking Kilimanjaro or going on a safari ride, definitly book your trip!(The food was awesome too, shout out MK!)

After long wanting to attempt climbing Kilimanjaro, we finally took the step of booking a trek with this local travel operator. Our journey began in early January 2021. Upon arriving in Tanzania, we met Eric and Wilfred, the two (incredible) guides that would be leading us on this journey. They were well-informed and made sure to offer a comprehensive breakdown of what the coming days would offer and how to be best prepared, whether it was clothing, equipment, or merely preparing yourself mentally. All-in-all, the experience was truly remarkable, and the unwavering guidance, support, and enjoyment provided by our two guides along the way made the experience all the more worthwhile. For anyone trying to decide between the array of operators on the mountain, I can highly recommend this one. If you do, be sure to request that Eric and Wilfred guide you - with these two guys, you can feel comfortable that not only will you successfully make the journey to the roof of Africa, but you will have an awesome time doing it.

We had a great time hiking Kilimanjaro on the lemosho route. The landscape was beautiful and trails were never too difficult. The guides did a good job helping us get to the camp sites each day, and made sure we were always feeling safe and energized.

We decided to book the Lemosho Route for 7days but ended up doing it in 6days. The guides were very flexible regarding our wishes and they all wanted us to succeed. The Route itself was amazing and an unbelievable variety of the nature. Every Day was different, from Moorland, to desert until stones and snow. Its unbelievable what the nature has to offer, we would choose this route again.

Innocent and James, our two guides, Pastori our cook, Jackson our waiter, Good luck, Philomon, Jacob, Elibarik, Mboner, Liberat and Lengai, our porters were just amazing and did everything they could to make our trip perfect! So hard working and kind! They treated us like their sisters and helped whenever they could! So blessed to have met them! The food was delicious and fresh, they made sure we eat well and feel strong for summit day! Amazing team which we will miss!

this trek was an amazing experience, my guide, cook and all the porters were amazing and I wouldn't have been able to do it without them.

Myself and four friends from Ireland successfully climbed Mt Kilimanjaro with the local tour operator in July/August 2019. The experience was excellent from the outset - communication with Noel was very regular in the build-up to our trip and we were picked up from the airport. We had a lost bag on our flight in so they accommodated us by pushing the start day back a day. Our guides Anton, Eric and Fraterino were a great help throughout our 8-day climb, advising us each evening in the tent on what the following day would entail, and helping us with any headaches or issues that arose during the climb. The porters were fantastic too, and the food we got each day really helped keep us nourished throughout the day. These guys know what they are doing and I would certainly recommend climbing Kili with them. All five of us successfully reached the summit on a really tough summit night, and that was in no small part down to the help we got from the tour company crew. Thank you very much for all your help guys from the Irish group of 5!

We took the 7 day Lemosho route with this tour operator, and they were outstanding in all respects! Our very friendly and knowledgeable guides Ricky and Danny made sure we were well prepared to summit by advising us on clothing, hydration, nutrition, and how to minimize the chances of altitude sickness. In addition they were well versed in the flora and fauna and pointed it out to us. The cook and porters were very attentive and hard working. We always had great food at each meal, afternoon snacks, and coffee served to our tents each morning. The porters always had our tents and campsite set up in advance of our arrival and a smile on their faces despite their hard work! This tour company team not only insured that all of our group reached Uhuru peak but also made a unforgettable experience, I highly recommend them for your adventure!!

Just finished our 7-day Lemosho route hike and we all made it to Uhuru! That would not have been possible without the help of local tour company. From the moment I landed, I was greeted with smiling faces and assisted every step of the way till I left to go back home. The porters were absolutely wonderful and were so friendly, all smiles! We had the absolute best cook, every meal was absolutely delicious, some of the best food Ive ever had! Our guides were Ricky and Danny, and I must say, I absolutely would not have summited if not for them. I got sick not once, but twice, and both of them worked together to get me feeling better, assisting me with my pack and checking to make sure I was alright, and were incredibly encouraging when I started to doubt my ability to make it to Uhuru peak. I thought I would feel strange having porters carrying my things and cooking for us, but the team feels like a family. Get to know your team! Some of the most fantastic people Ive ever met. I cant thank them enough for an incredible experience I will never forget.

Communication through Noel was extremely efficient and he did everything possible to ensure that the trip ran as smooth as possible. We received a detailed kit list and had a good understanding of the Lemosho route which was the route we had chosen to take. After arriving in Kilimanjaro, a driver was waiting at the airport to take me to the accommodation provided by the tour company. The staff at the hotel were so accommodating and because I had landed in the early hours of the morning, they were happy to provide a room for me to sleep in on my arrival. Later that day, myself and my friends were informed that we would have a meeting with our guide that evening. Ricky (our guide for the trip) came to the hotel and gave us a thorough introduction and answered any questions that we had. Following this, we had our kit checked to ensure that we were well prepared for the trip. The trip began the next day and again, the experience we received was amazing. All of the staff in our group had our best interests in mind for the full 7 days and they couldn't have done any more. Alex (our chef) prepared delicious, filling meals for us to eat 3 times a day. Ricky gave us a briefing every evening explaining what the day ahead would be like, what to wear etc and this was extremely useful. His understanding of: the route, our pace, timings were spot on and this contributed to the smooth running of each of the days. Although the summit day was tough, the positive energy of both Ricky and Kelvin made the experience much easier and it was extremely rewarding to reach Uhuru peak. I cannot recommend this tour company enough, the whole experience was amazing! Thank you for such a memorable trip.

Amazing team and experience! Attention to tipping. The trip itself went absolutely flawlessly, just make sure you are aware of how many porters you will have and how much you have to tip each person, its an additional cost worth considering. Other than that, great people, delicious food and an amazing trip! I would definitely recommend this to anyone with an adventure sense and a challenge in mind.

Our tour company was awesome to work with while planning the trip. Professional and prompt with their responses. While on our trek everything went very smoothly and even when we had to change our plans mid-trek they were incredibly accommodating. They were excellent to deal with in every way and I highly reccomend them to anyone planning to go to Tanzania.

I booked the Lemosho route and did not expect to be the only tourist so it turned out to be a private tour for me. How lucky! The tour company was truly amazing and everything was organized in a perfect and caring manner including the airport pick-up, hotel and food etc. The only thing I can complain is my guide - Pascal, though being very supportive, always seemed in a rush so could not enjoy the view much. I had a wonderful time hiking Kilimanjaro! I did the7 day Lemosho hike. The local tour operator provided one (fluent English) tour guide, one cook, and five porters. I was the only tourist on this trek. One of the porters also spoke some English, and he served all my meals everyday. Speaking of meals, I never dreamed that I would eat so well on this trek! Everyday breakfast and dinner were huge multi-course meals, including a variety of food groups, and all having genuinely great flavors. There did seem to be a lot of heavy-carb meals to provide and maintain energy through the hike. Everyday, upon arrival to the camp site, my tent was already prepared with my large trekking bag, sleeping bag, and dining essentials laid out neatly, and every morning they would pack it all up for me and carry it all to the next camp site. While hiking, there were many occasions that I needed either some guidance about how to maneuver a particular difficult area or simply needed a stabilizing hand, and James, my guide, was always there and always very helpful. I always felt well take care of, I always felt safe, and I always felt that the operator had my best interests in mind. Here are two examples to illustrate this: 1) As someone else mentioned, an extra winter hat was provided by the operator before we started the trek, but I found I didn't need it and never used it on the trek, so they didn't charge me for the hat, and 2) the morning that I left Kilimanjaro, Noel of the tour company arrived exactly on time and drove me the hour from Moshi to the JRO airport in Arusha. That trip cost me $50 USD when I arrived. I had not planned for this; Noel simply offered, and I graciously accepted. Thanks again, Noel! Thanks again, James and everyone else! I never could've done this without you, and I'll remember this wonderful experience for the rest of my life!

The trek went very well in general, the guide a porters were very professional, food was great. The boiled water gave me me a stomach bug on the second day, unfortunately, but it passed after vomiting a few times.... Had no difficulty at all except on the day we climbed to the summit. Getting up at 1AM was way too early, as I had barely got any sleep (if any). My body shut down half way up, was very tired, vomited a few times, but eventually made it after the sun came up. In hindsight, we should just started the trek around 5AM, as sleep is essential!... I only question that the guide decided to cut the trek short 1 day (6 days instead of 7), even though I had already paid for a full 7 days. This factored in to the tip I left them, which personally I find to be a very awkward moment in the experience. I think this should just be included in the cost. Keep this in mind, as apparently this happens a lot so they can get a day off, get fully paid for 7 days, AND expect a big tip.

I did Lemosho 7 day route and it was a great experience. Communication with Noel was a breeze and everything was as promised. I was supposed to join another group but since their luggage go delayed, they could not start the climb on the scheduled date. However, my tour operator ensured that this had no impact on my plans. I was assigned my own crew and started the climb as planned. Very professional on their part. The guide, cook and the entire crew were a great company throughout the climb.
