We could not have been happier with our trek with this local travel specialist. The hike around the Manaslu mountain range was absolutely gorgeous, the scenery was breathtaking and much more diverse than we expected. For days, we walked through all kinds of jungle and rainforests - we even saw some wild monkeys, all while the mountains were towering above us in the distance. We walked beneath massive waterfalls and crossed suspension bridges hundreds of meters above the roaring mountain river that the path follows along. The acclimatization time for the altitude was perfect on this trek, and when we reached the higher mountains we could really enjoy the breathtaking landscape. Seeing Manaslu tower 5000m above you when you are already at over 3000m elevation makes you feel small in the best way possible. In the high mountains we saw dozens of eagles and hundreds of yaks. The daily hikes were not too long, but still challenging on some days, the perfect distances to keep it interesting but not too exhausting. What made this trek extremely pleasant more than anything else was our guide Lok. With his funny and open-minded nature he made even the strenuous passages of the trek feel enjoyable. He not only gave us a lot of insights about the trek and the mountains of Nepal but also brought us closer to Nepal's culture and history. Sharing our experiences with other trekkers we met along the way made us even more aware of how lucky we were to have Lok. Through his years of experience he knew all the tricks and always got us the best rooms, just for example. He also responded to our wishes on a daily basis and we were able to shape the trek individually. When one of us was not feeling well and Lok could not find anything suitable in his large first aid kit, he went above and beyond to scout out the pharmacies in every village until the necessary medicine was found. After returning from the trek, he gave us recommendations for the shops with the best quality for the best prices, which was also very helpful considering the overwhelming number of mountaineering stores in the city. We booked a porter for the trip and we were so glad we did. Being able to pack that extra sweater or pair of socks at altitude is more than worth it. Our porter was very pleasant and always there to help in the guesthouses. We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back to do another trek with Lok and this local travel specialist!
12 days over 170km reaching 5106m in altitude when you cross Larke Pass. Crossing high suspension bridges, multiple landslides 😬, through some of the most amazing scenery. The scale just blows me away and photos will never do it justice.
The Manaslu circuit is a great combination of stunning mountain scenery and authentic village life.
We had a great time on this trek. The organization was solid, the guide (Raju) and the porter (kaju) made us feel lucky to have signed on with this company. The trek itself we highly recommend, and this company seemed to do their best to make this trek the best experience possible.
It was a lot better than we expected as we were traveling in the monsoon season. We knew we were traveling in monsoon season but fortunately, it didn't rain much and we were fine. The lodge in Dharmashala was closed so we had to walk 2 days plan in 1 day, it was tiring but fortunately, the views were great in the Larke pass.
We had a great trip. The hike was very beuatiful and quite, since we started the trek at the beginning of March. Not many tourists were on the trek which made it perfect. We had a great time with Harry (guide) and Kishna (Porter) who were always in for jokes and good game of carts. Only downside was that we couldn't cross the pass, there was to much snow. The upside was we had one day in Shala completely alone, the whole village was empty. We even helped the only local there to make his lodge snow free for us. This was an awesome day since the views were stunning and it was completely quite. Thanks Harry and Kishna for the great trip! Thank you
Manaslu Trek is highly recommended to those who are interested to trek in peaceful area. Our 13 days trek was full of fun, adventure and lots of sleepless nights. This is very beautiful trekking route and recommend to those with average fitness. We didn't train much before the trek so we struggled quite a bit.
Thanks to out guide Gopal for the amazing job done. Super attentive and caring, we loved him. We felt he was looking after us like his own children. Thanks also to Upendra who provided everything that was being promised before the trek. Overall great experience and fair price.
The local travel expert was very professional quick to reply. It catered to our specific requests and really made booking the trip a breeze. We opted to pay the extra money for a private suv to and from the trek and are glad we did. It was all seemlessly organized through the travel specialist and was much more enjoyable than the bus alternative. What really made our trip enjoyable was our guide Tonda Chhandaghale. He was very knowledgeable about the trek and always knew the best places to stay. He is very kind, professional, and really stood out compared to the other guides we met along the trek. We would absolutely request him on a future trip.
Highlights was the sidetrips, tsum valley, manaslu Basecamp, pungin gumpa, and prok village. Not in our ordinary ittenary. However we squished them in since we had way to much time.
The local operator did a great job. Our guide Raju was supported by Nar and Nar, our porters who were also cooks. This turned out to be really useful as the cooking is rarely very good in the tea houses. This trek is perfect. It is popular enough that you see 30-40 trekkers per day, but neve too popular that it seems too busy. But come very prepared or it will spoil your experience. 1. Dont expect to get fit here! Do it before. You will climb up at least 6,000 metres and down the same amount. It is very tough, especially the last few day at high altitude. Get fit before you come 2. Lots if people get sick and turn around. The hygiene is some of the worst you will see anywhere on the planet, so come with lots if wet nap towels, hand sanitizer, water purification pills, etc 3. Its REALLY cold at altitude and you will wear everything you have at altitude. You need to bring good gloves, hats, warm amateurs etc as i5 will get to -15-20 degrees and if youre not prepared you will suffer. Dont let me put you off though. Its a 7nique experience, just prepare carefully so you enjoy and complete it!
