In May, I took some days off work for vacation in Arusha, Tanzania with Habari adventures. Entry point was Kilimanjaro airport before a visit to Serengeti and Kilimanjaro summit.
On our way to Serengeti/Kilimanjaro, the Habari guides felt like old friends. We shared a lot of stories, including local legends which I really enjoyed. I had a superb safari, with well organised tour guides. The journey was tiresome, but the team was always present and very supportive.
Every tiresome safari (adventure) was compensated with delicious meals and snacks. Thank you Habari adventures for this wonderful experience. I will surely come back.

Absolutely wonderful experience climbing Kilimanjaro. From pre-tour planning at home to be picked up and dropped off at the airport and everything in between was well managed. Our guide made us feel as if we were his family and took good care of us. Even the meals prepared during the climb were delicious. We are glad that he led us to Kili and back. We Planned for many years to come to Africa and Climb Kilimanjaro, It was a good choice to go with local travel operator, we had best time climbing kili with Danny and Lodrick and all the team members. Godbless was very professional,he answers all of our questions in time ad explain everything about our climb and makes us feel comfortable about the climb, he provided a great customer support it was beyond our expectation. Lodrick and Danny takes a very good care of us on the mountain, they were very knowledgeable and very professional,we were checked every morning and evening to make sure our heartbeat and oxygen in the blood was normal, they had their own first aid and oximeter.
The porters were friendly and carry all of our items, John the chef prepares excellent food and he was very talented. I have come home with many memories thanks to this company. I highly recommend Lemosho route to climb Kilimanjaro.

I have climbed so many mountains but Kilimanjaro trip was the best.
We were a private group consisting of my wife, kids and i, and we felt incredibly safe and supported throughout the trek, especially on summit night. The twice-daily medical check-ins were reassuring, especially for my kids, who had never been on a high-altitude hike. Our lead guide, with extensive mountain medical training, kept everyone calm and comfortable.
The way the guides made our kids feel special, accomplished, acknowledged them as young adults and bonded with them meant so much & definitely make this a wonderful experience they will remember forever.
I highly recommend this travel operator. They know the mountain inside out, they will take care about you giving you the support where you need and will organize the journey with extreme attention to details.

Our guides (Peter and Daniel) amazing guides and very experienced. They checked our gear before the hike to ensure we had everything we needed. They monitored our heat rate and oxygen levels each night. They knew when we needed encouragement and went above and beyond to get all eight of us to the summit. The porters that carried our tents, food, etc were friendly and helpful. The local tour operator knows their stuff. We could not have done it without them. We highly recommend them if you are planning to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro.

A wonderful and rewarding adventure! One of the most challenging and incredible experience in my life. I was challenged physically, mentally and spiritually! I was most inspired by my guide, Philemon as he saw to my every questioned being answered along the way, and the porters who ensured all the necessities were made available. Whenever I doubted my ability to continue the climb, I would ask these gentlemen how do they accomplish this so often with such ease - the enjoyment they have for their clients to experience this very incredible peace of Africa! I felt such a profound connection to nature, to the ancients, to Africa - and how incredible it was to experience all the different climates in one part of a Holy Land!

Mt. Kilimanjaro Climbing: 6 Days Marangu Route - May 2026

The Marangu route is easily the most popular way of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. Not only is Marangu the least expensive option, it is also shorter as it makes it possible to climb to the summit sooner.
The Marangu route is a classic trek to the top of Kilimanjaro. However, it has the least scenic variety of all routes (ascent and descent are done on the same path) and is the most crowded for that reason. It is the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations. There are 60 bunk beds each at Mandara and Kibo Huts, and 120 bunk beds at Horombo Hut.
Many favor the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope and direct path. Known as the "Coca-Cola" route, it approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast. It is the oldest, most well-established route.
The minimum days required for this route is five, although the probability of successfully reaching the top in that time period is quite low. Spending an extra acclimatization day on the mountain is highly recommended.
