The other families in the tour were also very friendly and all the kids got along great. We saw a great many things in Peru- from night-time hikes in the rainforest to chocolate making in Cusco. This was by far the best tour we made before heading out to Peru. The trip included getting picked up from Airbnb and dropped off at the Vistadome train station. Then from the train station to the bus up to Machu Picchu. There was always a guide from the tour company waiting for us. We were never left to wander what the next step was. Our guide at Machu Picchu was very knowledgeable on the history of Machu Picchu and was able to answer all our questions. After Machu Picchu it included a lunch buffet which we also enjoyed. Overall we were left with a beyond great experience.

Do you want to visit the famous Macchu Picchu but are short on time? This tour takes you to the sacred Macchu Picchu site and back in just one day. At 5 am we will pick up you from your hotel in Cusco and bring you to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here is where we board our train to the town of Aguas Calientes. Once in Aguas Calientes, our guide will take you by bus along an upward zigzag path to reach the incredible wonder of the world, Machu Picchu, known as "The Lost City of the Incas". Once in the citadel of Machu Picchu, you will have a guided tour to visit the main venues of the city including the main plaza, the circular tower, the sacred solar clock, the royal quarters, the temple of the three windows and the cemeteries. The tour will last for more than two hours. At the end of the tour, you will be given free time to stroll around the citadel and visit Machu Picchu on your own. As an option, you can hike to the sun gate or Inca bridge. After exploring the site, we return to Aguas Calientes for lunch in one of the many restaurants (not included).
