The timing, the excursions and activities, the restaurants, accommodations and travels were all so amazing, and there was never a dull moment. No wait I take that back. The dull moments is when we went to bed. I never wanted the day to end and I never wanted this trip to end. From the ceo to the new friends I made in our group, it was absolutely amazing. The wildlife, the beaches, the food, the parties, the home stay, I can’t even get started on the home stay. What a wholesome moment. The families were so sweet and welcoming.
I wanted to thank G Adventures and I wanted to especially thank Aaron, our ceo for always being organized and making this tour educational and fun.

A wonderful voyage of discovery which takes you to each region of Costa Rica ...all made up of unique climate zones with varying birdlife and wildlife. I would hardly identify myself as someone who usually goes out searching for birdlife or wildlife, but this trip captivates you to get involved and go searching ...often early in the morning or in the evening. Costa Rica is incredibly lush with a small population and a government appearing to work hard on sustainability and protection of the environment. There were a lot of roadworks in evidence! All the accommodation was excellent and all the Lodges, each one different, were a delight. They allowed you the luxury of sitting on your own veranda allowing the birdlife and wildlife to 'come to you' as you were in their environment. Our trip spent its last night miles outside of San Jose centre which, although the hotel was lovely, was a disappointment for me as I'd wanted to spend the free afternoon exploring the vibrant downtown area with its parks, local shops, lovely buildings, museums etc but this wasn't feasible from Santa Ana. I've mentioned this to Exodus. We had a few downpours...mainly late afternoons, but only were out on a trip during one downpour and the Lodge provided everyone with huge ponchos...the rain didn't spoil the delight of the boat trip. Suggest a waterproof jacket, strong trainers or walking shoes and a camera with a good zoom lens should be priorities for packing!

Four Days in Osa Peninsula: Corcovado National Park - Fall tours

Visit the beautiful South Pacific coast of Costa Rica during this four-day, self-guided trip. This particular region of the country is home to more than three percent of Costa Rica's biodiversity. A shuttle transfer will be arranged from one of the following destinations on the first day of the tour: San Jose, Jaco Beach, Manuel Antonio Beach or Dominical Beach. Wonderful 'taste' of Costa Rica's wildlife and flora. Since it was 8 days, there was some travel time to get to each spot (as clearly written in the itinerary) and the guide and driver did a great job with wildlife spotting along the way. Personally, I would have preferred more time in Monteverde area and less by the beach, but that is how it was planned from the start. Went at the end of the rainy season, so there were some minor adjustments that the guide worked out ... so we did still see all the planned stops. Leisurely trip.

Overall the trip was good.
However, it would have been nice to have stayed an extra day at the eco-lodge Selva Verde, as a day off rather than at La Fortuna which was a tourist town. The trip was suppose to be a wildlife tour. There was only the need for one day at La Fortuna, so very disappointing missed out on Selva Verde.
The accommodation at La Fortuna was awful, more of a motel, very disappointing not even near a wildlife area, very disappointing.
Otherwise, the other hotels were very nice.
Our tour leader Walter, excellent, very entertaining, organised, informative, and efficient everyone liked Walter.
Also our Bus driver, Randy, very thoughtful about his passengers, an excellent driver, considering the conditions he had to drive in, and also he kept the bus clean, and tidy. Very impressed, little things.

Highlights of Costa Rica + Beach Extension - Fall tours

The trip really packed in some iconic elements of Costa Rica, and lived up to its name in terms of seeing the highlights. It was great to experience the contrast of the Caribbean lowlands, rain forest and the pacific coast. And seeing the abundance of wildlife was incredible, as well as the delicious local dishes and wonderful people we me along the way.
The guide was great, really personable and had good knowledge and a keen sense to show us as much as possible, often stopping en route when he had spied interesting animals from the van.
The Manuel Antonio and the La Fortuna accommodation was great. The Authentico hotel was fine for passing through but we had paid for an additional night in San Jose, and for this purpose the hotel wasn’t in the best of locations as it was on the edge of the city with not much around in terms of restaurants so we felt a bit stuck in the hotel at the end.
