Switzerland is my vote for most beautiful country in the world. Note, I've visited 101 countries. , our Tour Manager was fabulous! The hotels, included meals, optional excursions, tours, local guides, bus, train rides, etc were first rate. Another wonder Insight Tour.
Saw a lot in a short amount of time. EXCELLENT Tour Director - Did all but one add on to the tour. Would highly recommend this tour. Especially loved the stops with the bee keeper and the lunch she prepared and the discussion about the wine she makes. We also made a beehive candle! Also enjoyed the appetizers at another home which was a stop. Got to meet local people. Train travel was wonderful. Scenery breathtaking. Went to the top of the Matterhorn and the top of another mountain in Lucerne. FANTASTIC TRIP!!!!!
I saw so much of Switzerland on this journey it was at a great pace for the older person. Our tour director was the best, made sure everyone was happy and taken care of and always seemed to go over and above to please and our driver was so professional, she made you feel very safe on those very narrow winding roads.
We saw lots and it was just at the right pace as there were many days where we had the afternoons to ourselves after a morning trip. It was a fantastic trip
Tour was great with a fab tour leader. I found the tour a bit rushed and possibly could have been a couple of days longer to get more free time.
It was a great itinerary. I wish the Tour could have been longer. I wish that there had been 2 days in Bern and Geneva. I wish that the amount paid to Insight Vacations would have covered the Optional Excursions. I wish that the trip to the Matterhorn would have been included in the general cost, as it was in the 2004 Trafalgar Switzerland tour, rather than being an optional excursion.
