Itinerary

On this Swiss journey, experience the stunning beauty and rich cultural heritage of Switzerland. Start your trip in Zurich, a vibrant city famous for world-renowned Swiss watches and chocolate. From Zurich, you will travel to Bern, the capital of Switzerland, take in breathtaking panoramic views and stroll through the city’s charming historic center. Continue your journey through picturesque alpine landscapes to Glacier 3000, where you will experience magnificent mountain vistas and visit the iconic Chillon Castle. Your next stop will be Geneva, where you will visit famous landmarks such as the Palace of Nations, the English Garden, and the Jet d’Eau. Afterward, travel to Lausanne, Gruyeres, known for its cheese and Fribourg, where you will discover beautiful old towns. Continue through the scenic Bern canton, visit the Aare Gorge and explore Interlaken before heading towards Lugano and Chiasso. The next part of the trip takes you to Bellinzona, famous for its medieval castles and Altdorf, the birthplace of William Tell. In Lucerne, explore the Chapel Bridge, the Lion Monument and the stunning old town. Later, enjoy a visit to Einsiedeln, a renowned pilgrimage site and then head to Vaduz in Liechtenstein and Feldkirch in Austria, known for its medieval charm. The journey continues with a stop in St. Gallen, where you will explore its UNESCO-listed historic center and the famous abbey library. Your final stops include Constance, Stein am Rhein and the awe-inspiring Rhine Falls, before concluding with a scenic cruise on Lake Zurich, returning to Zurich to end your unforgettable Swiss tour.

day 1 - Zurich

Welcome to Switzerland! Upon your arrival at Zurich airport, you will be transferred to your hotel and have some free time to relax. In the afternoon, please check the information boards at the hotel reception for details about the start of your tour.

day 2 - Zurich - Berne - Chillon Castle - Geneva

Today after breakfast, you will begin your day heading to Bern, the capital of Switzerland and one of its most beautiful historic cities. You will stop at the Rose Garden viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views of the city and will have free time to explore the charming city center. Next, continue along a scenic route through breathtaking alpine landscapes, passing picturesque villages with traditional wooden architecture as you travel through the Gstaad region, known for its world-class ski resorts. A cable car ride and lunch at Glacier 3000 are included. From the viewing terraces, you will enjoy spectacular mountain views and have the chance to walk across the famous suspension bridge connecting two peaks. After descending, head toward Lake Geneva, a region known for its mild climate and extensive vineyards. Then you will visit the stunning Chillon Castle (tickets included), a medieval fortress built on the lake. Savor your lunch before continuing your journey through Montreux, an elegant town known for its annual jazz festival. You will then travel along the scenic lakeside road to Geneva, arriving there at the end of the day.

day 3 - Geneva - Lausanne - Gruyeres - Fribourg

In the morning after breakfast, begin your day with a scenic tour of Geneva, a city nestled on the shore of Lake Geneva and home to many international organizations. Visit the Palace of Nations, stroll through the beautiful English Garden with its famous flower clock and admire the \"Jet d'Eau,\" the tallest fountain in Europe. Afterward, enjoy some free time to explore and have lunch. The journey then continues along the stunning shores of Lake Geneva, passing picturesque vineyards and snow-capped mountains, before reaching Lausanne, known as the headquarters of the International Olympic Committee. Stop at the Olympic Park, a lovely lakeside space dedicated to sports and Olympic culture. Next, head to the charming walled town of Gruyères, famous for its delicious cheese. Nearby, discover some of Switzerland's top chocolate makers, including Nestle. A visit to the Cailler Chocolate Factory offers a delightful chocolate tasting experience. Finally, continue to Fribourg, a bilingual city with a delightful old town.

day 4 - Fri Bourg - Interlaken - Aare Gorge - Lugano - Chiasso

Today after breakfast, you will depart along a small scenic road through the Bern canton, passing hills, forests and green fields. A photo stop will be made along the way, either at Schwarzenburg Castle or at a scenic viewpoint offering stunning views of Lake Thun or Lake Brienz (depending on your accommodation). The journey then continues to Interlaken, a tourist town nestled between two lakes. Afterward, head to the Aare Gorge to explore its impressive ravines (tickets included), followed by an included lunch. Next, travel toward one of Switzerland’s most spectacular mountain passes, the Susten Pass, known for its eternal snow and glaciers. A stop will be made en route to take in the majestic glacier views, surrounded by dramatic peaks. Continue toward the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland, passing through the famous Gotthard Tunnel and stopping in Gandria, a charming lakeside village on Lake Lugano, known for its traditional narrow and steep streets. From there, board a boat (tickets included) to Lugano, the main city in Italian-speaking Switzerland, famous for its mild climate and beautiful lakeside promenade. The day ends with arrival in Chiasso in the late afternoon.

Note: From late May to early October, the Susten Pass may be closed due to snow. In such cases, travel will be routed through the equally stunning Brünig Pass. Depending upon the seasonality and availability, accommodation may be in the Como metropolitan area.

day 5 - Chiasso - Bellinzona - Altdorf - Lucerne

In the morning after breakfast, today you will depart for Bellinzona, the capital of Italian-speaking Switzerland, renowned for its three medieval castles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy time to stroll through the picturesque streets of the city center before heading back toward the German-speaking region of Switzerland. The journey crosses the Gotthard Pass, with a stop at a stunning viewpoint for photos. Continue to Altdorf, the capital of the Uri canton, known as the birthplace of William Tell and one of the founding cantons of independent Switzerland. There will be free time to enjoy lunch. The day then continues to Lucerne, where highlights include the famous Kapellbrücke, the Lion Monument, the iconic cathedral, the Jesuit Church and the charming old town. Lucerne is considered the tourist capital of Switzerland.

day 6 - Lucerne - Einsiedeln - Vaduz - Feldkirch

Today after breakfast, depart along the shores of Lake Lucerne (also known as the Lake of the Four Cantons) and head toward Einsiedeln, renowned for its magnificent baroque abbey, the most important pilgrimage site in Switzerland. Continue east to Heididorf, where you can visit Heidi’s House (admission not included), a picturesque spot surrounded by stunning alpine scenery, accessible via a peaceful pedestrian path. The journey then takes you into the small independent country of Liechtenstein. In its capital, Vaduz, nestled beneath its castle, enjoy free time to stroll through the town and have lunch. Afterwards, continue to Feldkirch in Austria, a charming walled city located near the borders of Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Germany, known for its beautiful medieval quarter and historic castle. Free time to explore at leisure.

day 7 - Feldkirch - St. Gallen - Constance - Stein Am Rhein - Rhine Falls – Zurich

After breakfast, depart for St. Gallen, renowned for its historic center, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admission is included to the library of its magnificent abbey, featuring a stunning baroque hall that houses 170,000 volumes and the Egyptian mummy of Schepenese. The library itself is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the visit, continue the journey along the shores of Lake Constance, located between Germany and Switzerland, until reaching Constance, a German city known for its beautiful medieval old town, cathedral and Market Square. Enjoy free time to stroll and have lunch. The trip then returns to Switzerland with a visit to Stein am Rhein, a charming village on the banks of the Rhine, famous for its beautifully painted houses. The next stop is the Rhine Falls (tickets included), the most powerful waterfalls in Europe. An optional boat ride is available and highly recommended for a thrilling view that brings you close to the cascading waters. Arrival in Zurich will be in the evening.

day 8 - Zurich

Today after breakfast, start your day exploring Zurich, Switzerland’s most populous city and its financial and cultural hub. Known for its banks, Zurich has been recognized twice as the city with the best quality of life in the world. Afterward, embark on a scenic cruise on Lake Zurich, with brief stops to admire the charming villages along the way. Disembark in Rapperswil, a picturesque village famous for its medieval castle. Return to Zurich by train, offering a chance to experience the efficiency and punctuality of the Swiss railway system.
