The Annapurna Base Camp trek is one of the most popular trekking packages in Nepal. The Annapurna region itself is regarded as one the best trekking destinations on the planet. The Annapurna Base Camp trek starts from a lowland area with rice terraces, and eventually goes deep into the huge Annapurna massif. As we follow the Annapurna Base Camp trekking route gradually uphill, we get to enjoy panoramic views of Himchuli and Annapurna South peaks. Day 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (884m)by Tourist Bus Today, we take six hours long scenic drive from Kathmandu through Prithvi Highway. And we arrive in Pokhara about at afternoon. We then check into the hotel in Pokhara and in the remaining time, we visit the Pokhara city and Lakeside. We stay overnight at standard hotel in Pokhara.
Day 02: Drive to Nayapul from Pokhara, and then Trek to Ulleri (2073m) Today, we start our trek from Nayapul, which is just an hour drive from Pokhara. We reach at Birethanti after 20 minutes' walk on the Modi stream. Birethanti is an attractive village that has lots of guesthouses. We then follow the left route through the village and head to Ulleri following the bank of Burungdi stream. After that, we climb slightly up to the valley of Hille and Tikhedhunga. Our further path leads up to Ulleri where we stay overnight.
Day 03: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2856m) Our path leads to Ghorepani today. Ghorepani is one of the favored destinations of Annapurna Region. Our trek gradually ascends up to Banthali (2250m) through Oak and bush forest and then we tend to continue trek towards Ghorepani through Nangeythanti. We stay overnight at Ghorepani.
Day 04: Trek from Ghorepani to Tadapani (2625m) Today, we climb to Poon Hill (3210m) early within the morning to enjoy the panoramic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges including Lamjung Himal. From Poon Hill, you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise view. Poon Hill is also popularly called as The Photographer's Paradise. After taking the beautiful snapshots from Poon Hill, we descend to Ghorepani again. And after breakfast, we continue to Tadapani. Our path goes an extended the bushes and beautiful forest of pine until Tadapani. We stay overnight at guesthouse in Tadapani.
Day 05: Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrong (2020m)Our path today descends to Kimrong stream through the forest of rhododendron. After that, we walk towards Chhomrong crossing through the Gurung Village. Actually, Chhomrong offers you the close up views of Mount Annapurna South and Himchulialong with the Virgin Peak Fishtail (Machhapuchhre). We stay overnight at a local guesthouse.
Day 06: Trek from Chhomrong to Dovan (2580m)Today, we descend to Chhomrong stream and once more ascend up to Dovan passing through the silent bush forest. We stay overnight in a local guesthouse.
Day 07: Trek from Dovan to Deurali(3230m)We tend to climb to Deurali through the bush and bamboo forest today. We stay overnight at a local guesthouse.
Day 08: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)(4131m)This day begins with an ascent to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3900m) and then to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). The area is enclosed by the mountains and is understood as Annapurna base camp. Annapurna base camp provides you the spectacular view of mountain range together with Barah Shikhar, Annapurna I and Annapurna South. We stay overnight in a normal guest house.
Day 09: Trek from ABC back to Sinuwa (2340m)We eventually trek back to Sinuwa with the memory of Annapurna South along with the whole Annapurna range and ABC. We stay overnight at a local guesthouse.
Day 10: Trek from Sinuwa to Jhinu Hill(2170m) We are going to take tub at natural hot spring at Jhinu where we stay overnight at a local guesthouse.
Day 11: Trek from Jhinu Hill to Nayapul (1070m), and then Drive back to Pokhara(884m)We complete our trek today as we descend to Nayapul which marks the end of our trek. From Nayapul, we drive back to Pokhara. And in the evening, you can take your time for shopping or you can explore around the city. We stay overnight at standard hotel . You can also end the trip here in Pokhara !!
Day 12: Drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara (884m)Today, in the morning, we drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara. It takes approx. 7 hours by tourist bus to arrive in Kathmandu. We celebrate the farewell dinner together with Green Valley Nepal Trekking Team.
