The trip included a lot more than the Ifugao villages. I had 4 nights in Manila, 2 nights in Banaue, 2 nights in Sagada, 2 nights in Bohol and 3 nights in El Nido. I had great guides and drivers during the entire trip. The scenery in Banaue and El Nido was great. I had very poor experiences with the accommodations in Sagada and El Nido. I also thought that the trip was overpriced for the quality of the accommodations. I had two excursions scheduled for El Nido, and due to safety concerns about the the first excursion, I chose to not participate in the second. As a person who's broken her left wrist twice in the last 20 years, I don't like to take chances walking through 4 feet of water on uneven rocks, even with boat crew assistance.

When to Go to the Philippines
Looking for the best time to book your Philippines customized tour? Well, the best months to visit are from January to April each year. This is the peak of the dry season and is excellent for spending time on the beach, enjoying hikes, and more. The shoulder season of November and December is also an excellent time to visit for more affordable deals and only has slightly more rainfall than in the dry season. It’s best to avoid June to October as this is the monsoon season. Learn more.
How long to stay in the Philippines
While you can enjoy a city break in Manila for as little as a few nights, if you want enough time to check out the beaches, islands, and different beautiful cities that the Philippines has to offer, you should plan for around two weeks. However, with a Philippines customized trip, you can put together an itinerary that works for the amount of time you have available. If you only have five days, then you can build a trip that sees the best parts of the Philippines in a short amount of time. If you have longer, you can create a multi-stop vacation that takes you nationwide! Learn more.
