Japan Adventure Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Adventure Japan tours

My trip overall was wonderful. Our guide Zachary Kurtz was absolutely phenomenal! He was so attentive to every single detail. His great knowledge of Japanese history & culture and his fluency of the Japanese language, both speaking & writing. He was also excellent at being able to read people, physical ability & congeniality etc.

The trip was well designed providing time in both cities and smaller towns in the countryside. The walks were well planned and always interesting. Our guide, Zachary, was excellent and made sure we had the best experience possible in Japan.

Really enjoyed the trip, although we underestimated the level of fitness required to complete all the walking/hiking/climbing involved. For all that we had a wonderful time, and there were options to short circuit some of the more challenging hikes.

This trip fulfilled all my expectations and more. My fellow travellers were kindred spirits. The level of walks was slightly more demanding than I expected, but I managed and our guide offered flexible options for people who wanted less walking some days. The food and accommodation was first rate. I have travelled with World Expeditions in the Himalayan region and knew them to be reliable. This trip did not disappoint.

Excellent

The difficulty was, that most people in the group were not in such a good physical shape as demanded in the tour description online. Because of that, a lot of activities were cancelled and cut short. For those of us, who were really waiting for the activities (like the hikes & bike tour), this was an annoyance, I'm sorry to say. Otherwise the tour was amazing, the accommodations and food were absolutelt amazing, so were the destinations!!

Great adventure, guides were both excellent, trekking was well organised and the back roads were really interesting. Just about the right amount of free time to do more walking or cycling, would recommend
