day 1Join trip in Delhi - Visit Sheesh Ganj Sikh Temple and explore Old Delhi by rickshaw
Today we arrive in New Delhi, India's bustling capital. The city is the perfect blend of new and old, with monuments and temples hidden amongst its glittering skyscrapers. For those arriving in time, our tour leader will meet you in the hotel reception at 2pm for a welcome meeting followed by a city tour. We'll take to the winding lanes of the Chandni Chowk bazaar by rickshaw, whizzing past stalls selling everything from household wares to souvenirs. We'll also view the Red Fort and the Sheesh Ganj Sikh Temple. Please note, if you'd like to join today's tour, you'll need to arrive at the hotel by 2pm. If you're organising your own travel, we recommend giving yourself at least one hour to clear the airport, plus at least 45 minutes to get to the hotel. To make it in time, the latest your flight can arrive would be around 12.15pm. If you miss the welcome meeting, your tour leader will catch you up as soon as possible. If you'd like an airport transfer, you'll need to arrive into New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL), a 45-minute drive from our hotel.

I had a great time - when I saw my Tour Leader with the 'Explore' sign at the airport on arrival - I knew I was in safe hands - he was kind and generous with his time and had a passion which enthused. The accommodation was great - better than I expected and the 'immerse india' van for driving us from city to city was fast and efficient. I couldn't recommend this tour any more highly for those looking for adventure in India - I only hope my next explore holiday lives up to this first experience...
Booking process was simple online. Response was very quick. I was happy with the small group size. The Tour Leader was excellent. The hotels were good, although not close to the centre or any interesting areas. The itinerary was well chosen, and wasn't too frantic.
I especially loved the accommodation in Jaipur which was like staying at the Exotic Marigold - it was a dream come true in its decor, lovely staff and my room was resplendent with stained glass windows and even an internal room with a writing desk . I must write a novel about OUR trip !!!

The itinerary was great. We covered a lot in seven days and saw some amazing highlights of the Golden Triangle. Personally, I felt the trip could have been extended to nine days to allow some extra time in Jaipur and Rajasthan. The tour guide was great, and the accommodation was excellent!
