This morning, get ready for an enthralling Yoga Session on the shores of the crystal-clear waters of the holy Ganges River. Choose from the Yoga programs that can be practiced with within-house Gurus after consultation (payment to be done directly). Some forms of yoga which can be practiced are indicated below, but it does depend on the individual’s health and needs to be determined after a consultation with the guru:

Hath Yoga Rejuvenation: Hath Yoga Rejuvenation is based on ancient yogic techniques of detoxification called ‘shankhaprakshalana’, which means ‘to wash thoroughly’. When the intestines are rinsed, the residue and tensions are removed. The skin will become soft and various kinds of skin allergies and eczema will be relieved and may even disappear completely. Pallid skin will be purer and clearer. The senses shall be sharpened to such a degree that they feel as though they were “muffled and have now been unwrapped. The effects, not just physical, can only be experienced much less described in words. When the coarse tensions are removed from the stomach and abdomen, one has released all the untapped energy, and the body will feel light and healthy.

Neeti and Kunjal Kriya: These are purification exercises that are designed to remove stagnant internal toxins or inner blockages consisting of both matter and its associated energy. These exercises also correspondingly cleanout energy paths (nadis) and allow more energy to flow within the body/mind complex.

Spinal Therapy: We offer a series of yogic practices, which works systematically from the base of the spine to the top according to the individual’s needs. All the vertebrae will receive stimulation, and all the energy centers will get a burst of energy.

Trataka Meditation: To put it briefly, Trataka - also called Yogic gazing - is a practice where the gaze is fixed on an object for some time and then that object is visualized clearly with the eyes closed as an inner image at the eyebrow centre. Trataka boasts plenty of benefits that are beneficial to everyone and not only mediation aspirants. It is believed to have a helpful effect in treating and even resolving several eye disorders and improving conservative powers and mental resolve.

Yogic Nidra: Yogic Nidra is a state of conscious deep sleep. Yogic Nidra enables a person to be conscious in this state and nurture the seed of great willpower, inspire the higher self, and enjoy the vitality of life. Optional: Day Trip to Haridwar
Haridwar is one of the holiest gateways for spirituality according to Hindu mythology. Explore this sacred city by foot accompanied by a local subject matter expert. Discover the Bada Bazaar known for its local metal works. Visit the roadside temples existing for ages. If you are interested in Hinduism, you may visit religious book shops and try your hands on some books. The last destination will be Har Ki Pauri Ghat, where we will watch the evening Ganga Ceremony. This is a very famous ceremony that is visited by hundreds of Indians every day. After the ceremony, we will arrange a small “Pooja” for you with a Hindu priest and a flower offering to the Holy Ganges River. If you are interested in tasting the local cuisine, we recommend you relish your palate with some of the most famous hangout places in the city. Our recommended stop is Mohan Puri Wala near Har Ki Pauri, where you may taste some of the best local delicacies they offer.

Early in the morning enjoy yoga classes and after that get ready to travel back to Delhi. In the afternoon get transferred to the railway station to board train for Delhi. On arrival in you will be met and assisted by our representative at the station to transfer to the hotel.

day 10 - Delhi – Agra (220kms / 4hrs)

This morning drive to Agra, the yesteryear capital of the mighty Mughal Empire and currently home to some of the world’s top tourist sites. Even if the idea of visiting what is arguably the world’s greatest 'monument to love' doesn’t appeal; there's more to see in Agra. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon visit Agra Fort built and added to between the 16th and 17th centuries by successive rulers of the Mughal Dynasty. The fort was built primarily as a military structure, but Shah Jahan upgraded it to a palace and later it became his gilded prison for 8 years after his son Aurangzeb seized power. Later in the evening enjoy the sunset at the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays). Often considered the pinnacle of Mughal art in India, the Taj was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. When declaring it a world heritage site, UNESCO described it as “the jewel of Muslim art in India”. There are few words that can describe the magnificence of this monument. Marvel as light and colors transform this stunning monument in the beautiful setting sun.

day 11 - Agra – Jaipur (255 Kms / 6 Hrs)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri an eerily abandoned capital from the Mughal Empire between 1570 and 1586. Akbar built this city to celebrate the birth of his son and future heir to the throne, Emperor Jahangir. While Akbar is believed to have been illiterate, he took great interest in the arts and architecture; Fatehpur Sikri is one of his masterworks. Sadly, it served as capital for little more than a decade, eventually abandoned for lack of accessible water. Continue to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital also known as the Pink City. The origin of this nickname becomes immediately apparent as you enter the old city walls and greet the pink-colored buildings that rise at every turn.

day 12 - Jaipur

After breakfast, this morning your tour starts with an exhilarating excursion to Amber Fort perched on top of a hill. Ride in a jeep up the hill and visit the Jagmandir (the hall of victory). Perched on a hillside on the outskirts of town, the palace was constructed in the 1590s by Maharaja Man Singh, the commander of Akbar’s army, and was largely motivated by the highly defensible location. This is a beautiful and very well-preserved structure, built on four levels and surrounded by ruins, which served as the backdrop for the Mira Nair movie “Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love.” In the afternoon we return to the city for a look at the grand Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). This magnificent structure was built to allow the royal ladies of the palace to discretely watch the grand processions along the main street, City Palace and impressive Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built in the early 1700s by Maharaja Jai Sing II, the great warrior-astronomer to which this city owes its name.
