Super to cover the Tattoo, Orkney, Skye, and Iona as well as the Highlands and Cities in Scotland. Spending a couple of nights in some places an advantage.

Bruce G.On Sep 11, 2025

The actual trip itinerary was enjoyable and beyond expectations. The tour guide and driver were fantastic and I would book a tour again with these two due to their professionalism, care, concern, and knowledge.

Wonderful itinerary to see so much of Scotland.

AnonymousOn Sep 9, 2025

The tour guide () and driver () were excellent. I think Trafalgar could do better with the so-called 'rustic' hotels in Inverness and Thurso. Also, our bus (41 participants) had a number of tourists with active upper respiratory infections who did not mask up or cover their mouths when coughing. This resulted in a number of tourists picking up viral infections, and a few COVID infections. I don't plan to tour with Trafalgar again.

Great tour with many interesting and spectacular experiences. Older style hotels in the Scottish Highlands add real character to the experience although this may not be everyone’s preference.

AnonymousOn Sep 8, 2025

The trip could have been longer to allow more time at the attractions. Long hours of driving and then it felt like we sped through seeing the highlight attraction. We would also have benefited from having the self guide devices at the attractions. The Royal Military Tattoo was the highlight of the trip.

Saw many wonderful sights. Especially loved the highlands!

Helen D.On Sep 6, 2025

Most beautiful part of Scotland

AnonymousOn Sep 6, 2025

The itinerary was very comprehensive.

Denise H.On Sep 4, 2025

Tour was well organised by Tour Director. All destinations reached on time despite some necessary road detours. Excellent and safe coach driving, with help for those who had some mobility problems to board and alight from coach. Historical information given by Tour Director was excellent . Daily instructions as to luggage collection, and time limits when free time allotted was very explicit. I can highly recommend this tour.

A bit rushed in some instances, certainly able to visit all the highlights of the itinerary.

AnonymousOn Sep 2, 2025

It was a fabulous tour covering such a variety of places and events while also providing a few 2 or 3 night stays, meaning there were less days that required us to pack and move hotels.

AnonymousOn Aug 31, 2025

is a Great tour director. The accommodation at Kyleakin was appalling and I wouldn’t let my dog sleep on mattress coils like that

AnonymousOn Aug 30, 2025

The tour director and driver were exceptional, very professional and informative. It covered so much of Scotland. A lot of stairs and walking, Need to be fit Although we did have some folk with walkers or sticks. I am pleased with my purchase. Enjoyed the optional extras.

AnonymousOn Aug 29, 2025

You will see every inch of Scotland! Amazing trip and loved learning the history.

AnonymousOn Aug 28, 2025

Every days activities are well planned and the entire holiday went very well thanks to a well organized tour director.

AnonymousOn Aug 28, 2025

The tour director was rude, inconsiderate and disrespectful. We paid a lot of money, and were treated like school children. Not given enough time to see the attractions, ie recommend 30 minutes walk given 20 minutes. Told off f I r private conversation with partners, promised what's app group only set up on last couple if days of 2nd week and still waiting for Facebook group. Too busy on his phone to assist guests with mobility problems off coach.

AnonymousOn Aug 28, 2025

The itinerary was a good pace and local knowledge and stories were very enjoyable. The optional experience highlights the quality of the commitment from Trafalgar to give the best of the region we travelled.

, the guide, was excellent. He and the bus drivers planned every day to maximize exposure to Scotland. He was extremely knowledgeable, personable, easy to understand and efficient. The bus was nice and comfortable. We got to see parts of Scotland that other tours miss.

Nadine S.On Aug 28, 2025

There is a lot of walking, especially on cobblestones, and many hills, both in cities, and on islands. Also, there are many stairs, going into and out of the major tourist attractions. The tour director we had, was extremely knowledgeable about the areas, and was very pleasant, and made sure all the people were looked out for. The roads are very narrow, and many times the tour coach would have to pull over to let other drivers pass that were going in the opposite direction.

Nidda S.On Aug 25, 2025

All encompassing and exciting tour from start to finish. Our tour guide, was experienced and able to share a wealth of knowledge about the country in a fun and interesting way. In my case, she went above and beyond in providing timely, and invaluable assistance for retrieving an important item I’d left in a prior hotel. I highly recommend this tour.

Robyn E.On Aug 24, 2025

Best itinerary for seeing Scotland. I loved the entire experience best trip ever. The tour guide was excellent with a dedication to her job that couldn’t be missed. Her knowledge was exceptional and easily understood. was a delight to be around, I can’t praise her enough. I would do this tour again anytime and would recommend it to everyone.

Great sites to see but meals and some hotel rooms were less than desirable for the price paid!

Diane L.On Aug 22, 2025

This was a fantastic journey through Scotland with stunning views, lots of castles, Scotland history, and great optional experiences. We especially loved the highlands areas and the Isle of Skye. So many ancient ruins sites were also of great interest. The experiences of being invited into local homes and hearing about Scottish life and stories are very meaningful. The only thing we would suggest to change would be the amount of time given at stops to explore and have lunch on your own to a minimum of two hours. We loved the small town visits but think just a little more free time in those spots would be helpful. We are already recommending this tour to friends, colleagues and family. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! Special thanks to our tour director, Margot (best ever!) and phenomenal bus driver, Stephen!! Diane and Dan Lemay

This tour gave us most of what we'd been expecting, as well as many more quality experiences that we hadn't, which was absolutely fantastic, e.g. the Ghost Walk in Edinburgh, a visit to the Clava Cairns of Inverness, and the Street Art Tour of Glasgow. In some places we were a little short on time to enjoy the visit though, and within that same period were also expected to find lunch, e.g. Iona - where we only had 1 hour actually on the island. This was extremely disappointing, as it was one of the main features of the tour that had attracted us. Also, some of the 'optional experiences' were not offered e.g. Dundee walking tour and Bagpipes at the Corinthian. Overall however, a great experience. I must give a big shout-out to our peerless driver, *personal info removed by Feefo* for his skill in navigating the narrow and winding highways and byways. Most particularly I would like to acknowledge the hotel staff of the Royal Hotel on Skye who battled the totally unforeseen fury of Storm Floris. The managed to feed and house us without power and in the dark when the island was under a blackout for the entire time we were there - they were terrific.

Beautiful scenery, awesome photo opportunity's and packed full of history. Bus drivers were excellent drivers and *personal info removed by Feefo* our tour guide was friendly, helpful and very, very knowledgeable! I enjoyed her company. Thanks so much.

The itinerary was excellent being able to visit many towns and cities at a sensible pace and the tour guide had exceptional knowledge of Scotland and its history and culture

Kay G.On Aug 2, 2025

Excellent itinerary. Would have liked additional time on Orkney, but that is a personal preference; I fell in love with Orkney.

Michelle S.On Aug 2, 2025

What an amazing trip! This itinerary allows you to experience so much of what Scotland has to offer. There is so much natural beauty in Scotland, and this tour allowed us to visit and see so many amazing locations. I loved experiencing so many local experiences as well, so that you become immersed in the local culture. We loved visiting the Orkney Islands, the Isle of Skye and Iona.

Very busy itinerary Beautiful scenery Full of history Awesome and caring director and bus driver

Allen S.On Jul 27, 2025

Our trip to Scotland was the right mix of city and rural landscapes. We saw ancient castles and churches and very modern buildings. Along the way, our travel director, Fiona, kept us well-informed and kept an eye out for us. If she didn't know an answer to a specific question, she'd find out and let us know.

AnonymousOn Jul 26, 2025

I enjoyed the tour and the places we saw. I felt we visited most of Scotland and "saw it all". The hotels in Edinburgh, Glasgow and The Quayside Inn were very good. The other hotels were simply awful to the worst degree. Old, hot, terrible showers - blasting very hot then blasting very cold. Opening windows for air circulation then gave us street noise. The beds, bedding and hotel amenities were very below standard. Slow elevators, creaky stairs, uneven sloping floors, retrofitted bathrooms with not enough room. I would never recommend this tour to my friends simply because of the awful hotels. I am not sure I can trust Trafalgar tours hotel choices again. I enjoyed all aspects of the rest of the tour and felt it was very good except for hotels.

This trip showed the Scottish highlands in all their glory. I left a piece of my heart there.

Donald A.On Jul 26, 2025

Beautiful country, great tour director, Ian, exceeded all expectations.

Robert M.On Jul 20, 2025

An excellent itinerary with a very informative and helpful guide and very skillful drivers.

AnonymousOn Jul 19, 2025

A lot of activities on each day Sometimes a little more time in the Highlands and less in the cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow would be more appropriate.

Maria M.On Jul 19, 2025

Such a wonderful time and we got so much information on the way with on our bus and driving - always greeting with a smile. our Specialty guides knew their stuff. Hotels were good with small rooms sometimes but just for one night was fine. Food was always good and plentiful. Bus was full of friendly people
