day 1 - Marrakech – High Atlas – Aït Benhaddou - Dades
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech at around 8:00 am. Today's journey takes you through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizin'tichka Pass. See Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, a world heritage site that has featured in popular Hollywood movies.
Continue past the Valley of the Roses and call it a day on reaching the Dades Valley, where you will spend the night.
day 2 - Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga Desert
It is time to hit the road after breakfast, at around 8:00 am. Leave the Dades Valley behind and travel to the Todra Gorges. See the magnificent limestone formations some of which reach nearly 200 metres high, then continue your journey via the oasis towns of Tinejdad and Erfoud to reach Merzouga. The dunes of Merzouga are impressive in size and mesmerisingly beautiful.
Tonight, you will stay in a desert camp. But before it is time to say goodnight, why not explore the dunes on the back of the camel and see the color of the sand change as the sun sets? Back at the camp, a glass of mint tea will freshen you up while we prepare dinner.
Want to sleep a little late? Sit down with us and listen to some Berber music as a billion stars illuminate the sky.
day 3 - Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Fes
We will wake you up before sunrise and take you out to climb the dunes. You might as well enjoy the best sunrise of your life today. Just do not forget to take pictures. After that, shower will be arranged at a nearby hotel followed by breakfast.
Set off for Fez, passing through Erfoud, Errachidia, the Ziz Valley and Meditlt en route. Cedar forests add a bit of color and life to the otherwise drab, brown landscape and troupes of monkeys jump from trees to trees as you drive past.
We will drop you off at Fes medina on reaching the city.
