Set your sights on the spellbinding Sahara with this 3-day tour from Marrakech to Fes—a favorite among young adults and adventurous souls. Journey through shifting landscapes, from rugged mountains to sun-drenched dunes, on a route that promises awe at every turn. The highlight is a camel trek across the famed Erg Chebbi dunes, followed by an unforgettable night in a traditional Berber camp, savoring local cuisine and hospitality beneath a glittering night sky. day 1 - Marrakesh - Boumalne Dades
Our tour driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech, and you will journey via the High Atlas Mountains, through many authentic towns and Berber villages.
We will travel past the village of Telouet and visit Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a famous 17th century fortress and a Unesco World Heritage Site. It is also famed for being the shooting location for Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and Prince of Persia.
Lunch will be served in a restaurant near the kasbah, followed by a sightseeing tour of Kasbah Taourirt. Next, we will drive past Skoura city, through the valley of Roses towards Kalaat Megouna, to reach Boumalne Dades.
Overnight in Boumalne Dades.
day 2 - Boumalne Dades - Merzouga
After breakfast, we well drive towards Todra gorge in Tinghir. The breathtaking views of the gorge and river attract many hikers. We will continue our journey, crossing the desert towns of Erfoud and Rissani, and stop on the edge of the Merzouga desert.
Upon arrival, we will enjoy traditional mint tea and prepare ourselves for the camel trek. The two-hour trek will take us to our desert camp, where we will be staying overnight.
Tonight, we will enjoy our dinner by the campfire, and there will be local desert music for entertainment. Spend the night under the starry sky.
day 3 - Merzouga - Fes
After breakfast, we travel to Fes via Errachidia, the tremendous Ziz Valley, the commercial center of a vast agricultural hinterland Midelt, and the cedar forests that are notable as a habitat for a sub-population of Barbary macaques.
We will also be traveling through Ifran, known for its alpine-style architecture and nearby ski slopes and forests, and the lion statue, before we reach Fes by early evening.
The trip ends at Fes.
