The tour director Thom was excellent, so knowledgable about history as well as being very personable and thoughtful. Highlights for us include historic Hoi An, Lantern making in Hoi An, Halong Bay the Mekong Delta and the Red Bridge Cooking school. We also really appreciated the Thanh Dong Organic Village and the silk grafting at Van **** Silk Village. Terrific of Trafalgar to support people with disabilities. The farewell dinner at the home of the former American Ambassador was also special.
Your tour guide made the trip.he was friendly very knowledgeable and very patient with some of the guests.accommodation was excellent and well located.Food also excellent.
Very interesting / interesting & fun trip. Our tour director very knowledgeable & made trip very enjoyable. We left early for several trips plus had a boat ride to the tunnels which enabled us to best the crowds & the heat. We would recommend the trip . Can not give enough compliments to our tour guide
Everything on the itinerary was included and then some extra experiences. Our tour director was constantly looking for ways to make our trip more enjoyable. City traffic is always an issue, so he petitioned Trafalgar to allow some travel by speedboat. Excellent and enjoyable ride down the river! Several of us wanted to see the Golden Bridge, which is not on the itinerary. We had one free morning and with a couple days notice he was able to get us booked. Excellent place and I would suggest this be included, even as an optional, on further trips.
The itinerary was fine. The communication between Trafalgar and my tour guide was poor. The timing of what was going to occur the next day should also have been in printed form.
The activities were mostly good and interesting. The cooking class was fantastic. The optional, additional cost excursions were all very good and should have been included in the price of the trip. Could do without a visit to Ho Chi Minh’s body and the Museum of War Remnants. A couple of the hotels are subpar. The bus and bus drivers were fantastic navigating the crazy traffic. The guide was okay - not great. He lost a member of the trip the first day, which freaked her out and did not instill confidence in him.
