**Trafalgar should have told us that the public toilets cost 1 euro and to have a supply handy. **We were a party of three and about 1/2 of the hotels did not have our rooms set up correctly - not three towels , cups or glasses, or even the extra bed set up. Another group of 3 had the same problem. **In Berlin, we feel the "Berlin's Secret Past Revealed" option should have been included in the tour, not an option. **Our tour guide, *****************, was wonderful, well organized, and gave out treats related to what we were seeing. I would have liked it if she knew more about the flora and fauna and the agriculture crops we were seeing.
We covered a long distance in a short time. Not quite enough time to enjoy most of the cites. Hotels were good. Driver and guide were good and knowledgeable.
All beautiful
this is great entry tour, hit a lot of important locations in the very short period of time. Downside is you can't spend enough time to explore, if you are the exploring type of traveler. If you just want to go and take some photos, this should work great.
Great value and relaxing opportunity to sample Germany—from small villages, to green countryside, to large city life in Berlin and Munich. Caring and knowledgeable Tour guide made it fun and always felt secure with experienced bus driver. Good mix of tours vs. free time and group meals vs. dining on our own.
This was a perfect itinerary for the “highlights of Germany” it covered them all and them some! All you need to do is pack your bag and Trafalgar will do the rest!
good pace, daily activities and travel. comfortable coach, moved seats daily to be fair about views. The tour guide spoke clearly and had good local flavor. She communicated each activity and room for any clarifications . Bus driver was attentive to assisting my wife on & off. The breakfasts were terrific. Dinner locations and facilities were very good. Clean and accessible. I did nt care for the dining at Black forest accommodations. The accommodations were lovely. Beautiful location. The meal was dried spaetzle, cool and not favorable, No meats served with the meal. The staff were very nice. I believe our entire group will not be requesting spaetzle ever again. Served it too often on our meal plan.
Great experience all around. and the guides were fantastic. Our driver () was terrific as well.
We had a great time on this tour! Our guide was very knowledgable and pleasant to have, and our driver did a great job. We enjoyed all the cities we traveled to especially Dresden. We happened to be there when they had a festival going on and caught the fire works at night! The breakfast at each hotel felt like a four course meal. It met our expectations of a Trafalgar tour.
All was good. But Nieu Schwanstein was the best
You need to have in the trip description. the long bus rides that are involved. The hotel in Munich was terrible. You need to find something better and nearer to the city center instead of 1/2 hour away. Little time is spent in each city, so you should call this trip “a glimpse of Germany” instead of highlights. Stop the group included dinners. They are always in a small room that becomes so loud you cannot hear each other talk and the food is a subpar. Just have people go find their own food. It’s much simpler. The bus driver and tour director were very good. Tour directors need to carry an umbrella or a flag when taking the tour of city or a destination. Different people have different pieces of walking.
We enjoyed the Highlights of Germany trip. We saw a variety of sites in a few days ranging from large cities to small villages.
Excellent but you must ready to move. I would go arrive a day early to get used to the time zone . I loved this trip and would highly recommend.
Lot of time on bus but saw a lots of Germany
It was a great trip and had lots of fun learning about Germany and all the things that it offers.
Great introduction to the history of Germany, some of it's big cities as well as some charming villages. Many guided activities as well as free time to explore the area.
