Honest insights from past guests on our 8-Day Germany tours

All the cities visited were outstanding and each a bit different. Our tour manager, Marcus Graf, was knowledgeable, caring and very organized. He is a gem! The hotel in Luzern was outstanding the other two hotels were good. The markets did not disappoint but the decor in the towns was just amazingly beautiful. Well done Collette.

A lovely trip with very manageable bike rides, a fantastic staff, and well planned dinners as well as hearty breakfasts and self packed lunches. They did a particularly good job accommodating multiple languages so that no group felt left out. It was exactly what I expected with the exception of not serving Rhine wines.

The trip was fantastic. Our guide and our bus driver took very good care of us. Even though there’s a lot of walking, the sites that we seen were really great. We did not have a bad meal or any bad experience. I would highly recommend this to anybody

This was my first Collette Tour and I thought it was very good. Our tour manager was excellent, the hotel was beautiful, the tours were nice. My least favorite thing was traveling by motorcoach. It is not a favorite mode of transportation for me but I understand the necessity when you have that many people. Prefer smaller groups.

The itinerary was nice, and beautiful places were visited, breakfast was delicious. Having free time was also good. The number of people per tour seems excessive, the logistics could be improved: the group we started with was split and could have continued together until Frankfurt. The buses could be identified with the next destination or have the tour guide by the bus door, this way it would have been avoided the delay in Prague due to a couple of people getting in the wrong bus looking for their luggage in the lower storage compartment, regardless of how many times the tour guides repeated this to the travelers. The microphone volume was not high/clear enough for people sited in the back of the bus. Many people talking at the same time, made it difficult for some people to hear what the tour guide was saying. Our hotel in Prague was exceptional, location metro conveniently located across the driveway, view from our room, etc. We would tour that city again just to be in the same hotel. We would not do it if we had to stay at any of the other hotels in that city. The luggage rule was not enforced which created delays when going from Prague to Frankfurt which, in turn, reduced the time spent in the next city. We noticed people traveling with a huge suitcase, which probably was according to the rule of weight limit but, they also had a smaller suite case like the carry-on size for most airlines and a personal bag. One suggestion to avoid this is: have the travel agents making sure the travelers understand the rule sign an acknowledgement, and possibly telling passengers that an extra charge will apply for additional suitcases so that they can be transported separately to the next destination or the traveler will have to carry it with them inside the bus. The folklore dinner and show in Budapest was really nice but pricey, especially considering the fact that prices in Budapest are cheap. The dinner was good, but the meat in the main course was a bit dry.

We had a great ride down to Dresden. There were a few hills but most of is was along the river. The accommodation was very good and the luggage delivery was perfect. The hire bikes we had some issues with. There were delivery issues, which were resolved.
