Great trip and great organized tour Director, she even arranged the weather, highly recommend this one.
It was a great itinerary and to do all the extra things was great
Great service, use again, Maria was so helpful and most knowledgeable tour director.
The destinations and scenery were beautiful. Our host was friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a fast-paced tour so you’re constantly moving from beginning to end. My chief complaint is several of the hotels were very basic, lacking amenities and located far from the center. Our hotel in Berlin was especially far out and not in the best neighborhood. Many of us expressed safety concerns with that one. All in all it was an enjoyable trip and lifelong friends were made.
Everything was wonderful! our travel director was great! All the excursions were worth the money. I liked all the hotels but Berlin - the hotel was nice but the location was not! I meet a lot of wonderful people. The bus had WiFi and charging was available in each seat. Can’t wait to go on my next trip!
Great cities visited, so much history. Would liked to have spent extra time in Budapest and Prague. Tour Director great keeping everyone on schedule to maximise time and opportunities. Driver was amazing!
We appreciate the opportunity to provide a narrative evaluation of our recent trip with Trafalgar and to those who made it possible. Our compliments to the Trafalgar specialist team that handcrafted the day-by-day itinerary that made this offering one of the most complex and diverse of our many trips. The success of your offering is best measured by the quality of your local team of professionals that begin with the Travel Director, Coach Drive, and local guides. Travel Director, Coach Driver, and the local professional guides for the optional experiences were all top quality. was excellent as our Director for accomplishing all of the details and logistics demanded of the many experiences occurring in each of the daily itinerary offerings. The quality of customer service and satisfaction is never an accident but the result of intelligent effort to meet the details required each and every time. was outstanding in making this group experience exceptional for our forty-three member group. Let me explain in detail: Our group diversity consisted of three multiple member families; five couples along with ten single women attendees; five different countries were represented speaking in four different languages. Trafalgar’s twenty plus multifaceted optional experience generates a logical nightmare for any Travel Director to accomplish for the eighteen day journey. The success of every trip begins with the Travel Director who serves as the facilitator of the process for accomplishing each detail of a multiple offering. Having served in a forty-two year career involving health care, customer service, education training and event management you recognize excellence when it is experienced. met and exceeded those daily challenges and made our trip for those in our group an outstanding one that will always be remembered. A valued team member that is sometimes lost in the evaluation process is that of the professional Coach Driver. Anton Korcon who was our Driver will always be remembered as the “Local Good Will Ambassador” at each stop and every day as we began the tour. is exceptional for not only being our professional driver but the service and positive greeting that we all received with a smile. He became a special member to our group because of his ability to connect with each member and always being there to welcome us back from each event. Large companies and organizations will espouse the statement that “our employees are our greatest assets” and in this case the Trafalgar team of and are exemplary examples of this being a true statement. Memories that get shared from travelers are more than the sites being visited but include those positive interactions and interpersonal communication skills of those encountered along the journey. and deserve that recognition for making this Trafalgar trip one of our best. A picture is said to be worth a thousand words and these three pictures along with the group picture will capture that thought as viewed: a. ; b. our Travel Director; c. our professional Coach Driver; and d. The Group Picture that shows the enjoyment factor experienced from a successful trip. Presented by: and
The itineary was a breath taking experience. The travel director takes care of you from day 1 ensuring you maxmize your time to capture points of interest in all countries. A superb and well co-ordinated travel experience in every country accompanied with a local specialist. Travelled in comfort with a profesiional driver that engages with all his passengers. Great camaradie during the seventeen days. An experince not to be missed with Trafalgar tours. Consistenet "Five Star" service until the very end.
This tour covered specific places that we were interested in visiting ,thats why we picked this one,
Packed itinerary, but that's the way if one wants to see more. Works well for us, but maybe not some others. We had a great time covering all the cities. Tour Director and Driver did an amazing job to make it seamless. Their first time partnering, but what a partnership.
Duration of the trip was just nice. Activities were well planned and organised.
It's very well planned. Covers most if not all of the pertinent attractions. Meals were also well planned with emphasis on local cuisine. I like that we have 2 nights stay in each city.
We want to express our gratitude to for being an outstanding travel director. We had an opportunity do, see and learn so much, and this is all because of her. It was enhanced by her positive attitude, beautiful smile and powerful knowledge, which motivated us during this trip. We of course, would like to give thanks as well to driver Vlad who kept us safe during our trip. Thank you Trafalgar for having caring and professional people like and . They made our unique vacation special!! Richard and Elena
This trip was great. I would recommend it to all my friends and family. Special thanks to Danielle who went out of the way to make sure we were all ok and safe.
Excellent overview of Eastern Europe history and highlights. Lots of fun local experiences. Guide made trip cone alive. Great we spent 2 nights in each location . You can sit back and enjoy the ride.
The tour was great however, more warning/information regarding the amount of walking on cobble stones in every city should be forthcoming prior to the tour. Excellent runners/shoes are required to ensure full enjoyment of the trip.
Great pace with two nights in hotels
Great guide and driver just Berlin disappointing. Didn't see exciting modern Berlin. Too much on history which many of us know and have seen. More music on bus related to different countries on longer trips for some of the time. Little towns such as Tabor and stop at Moritzberg were great. More stops at great little towns instead of on motorway stops. BUT GREAT GUIDE AND DRIVER. More on modern life too
Fairly fast paced and our guide *personal info removed by Feefo* was fantastic. This is just me but I hate that the first and last days count towards the number of days even though its just a few hours (seems like we pay full day price for part days, when we look at trips we look at price per day.
Great itinerary. It’s a lot of countries and cities in a relatively short amount of time, but you really do get to see all the highlights and wonders of each. Most cities you do get a bit of free time to explore, our Travel Director was very flexible and open with us about what was and wasn’t possible. If you are a big walker or early riser, you will especially love this tour, but it is comfortable and flexible for people of all ages. Make sure to do as many Optional Excursions as you can, they are worth the price!! Travel Director and driver were also fantastic and I would happily travel with both again if doing another Trafalgar tour.
This was a fabulous tour filled with amazing countries, their history and great sights! We experienced all of the highlights and many extras! We had loads of FUN and shared alot of laughter with our travel companions. Our tour director*personal info removed by Feefo*, and driver *personal info removed by Feefo* made the trip even more incredible. I highly recommend this tour!
Wonderful tour... Two night stays were great. Both tour guide and our driver were wonderful... was very knowledgeable and giving us lots of information on each of the amazing places we visited. Local guides were also great. Optional extras were well worth the extra monies... Accommodation was great and usually within easy walking distance to old towns/attractions.
The Itinerary was fine but some of the places we visited where Trafalgar gave us Dinners were not to standard. The dining we had In Berlin we had to eat our meal with flies sitting on our food and the Farewell dinner was rushed to accommodate an optional Viennese concert and the tables were laid out in the glaring sun light and having Wasps sitting on our food and drinks and no apologies were offered from the Travel Director just a sarcastic comment ( I will switch off the sun).
First time on Trafalga tour. It is not an easy tour. They want you to experience everything and see as much as possible. Our guide was top notch. We were not prepared for this type of tour. I’m not saying it was bad because it wasn’t but be prepared for long days of touring. My husband and I are 75 and in oretty good shape. We absolutely loved the tour and would do it again. Just make sure you are prepared for long days 2-4 miles of walking everyday up and down a lot of stairs steps making great friends and a wonderful time. I can’t forget to mention our driver Anton. He was an absolute professional. Thank you Andy and Anton.
Very beautiful locations, we visited interesting places, and we enjoyed the local folklore. We attended lovely concerts: Chopin, Strauss, Mozart. The guide, and the driver, were great, very friendly and helpful. We had a nice group, and we were happy to spend 2 nights in each location. Accommodation was very good, and the food was very tasty.
It’s a fantastic trip. Full of great experiences. I had feedback on Trafalgar already.
Well conducted tour with outstanding and oh so knowledgable tour director. Great variety of destinations with well chosen Local Specialists.
This trip exceeded my expectations beyond measure. The hotels, included meals, optional tours, as well as the itinerary and sightseeing were absolutely amazing!! Our tour guide, Kate, was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful with restaurants and shopping in every city, and provided a lot of commentary throughout the tour. We're looking forward to our next tour!!
To see the history of Europe in so many countries. The architecture and the pride of all the cities. The local guides bring so much to the experience. Our guide and driver went above and beyond . As someone with severe food allergy, highly recommend Craig as tour lead.
1. The tour guide and driver were excellent; the specials treat from time to time were awesome :-) 2. Seat rotation is a great idea that offers everybody a different view daily 3. I think there should be more suppers as part of the tour. The suppers that were included were excellent
Everything went perfectly - the itinerary was good and our tour leader was excellent.
The planning and detail that is involved with the itinerary is excellent. You always felt like a valued client. The variety of experiences were well chosen and enhanced the whole trip.
Be aware day 11 in Warsaw you will need to arrange your own dinner as the optionals don't offer one and the poles do not use the euro.
It was an amazing itinerary. Not a lot of free time and on the go continuously bit overall amazing. Beautiful areas, great food and drink and met some great people. Felt safe and taken care of.
Full days filled with wonderful experiences. The optional tours as well as the included tours were well organized and insightful. The tour director as well as the bus driver were top-notch. Accommodations and food were top-rated.
Fast pace. For the most part, the excursions were very interesting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the trip enjoyable. Some of the dinners included as part of the trip were not very good - poor service and poor meal quality. The hotels were all excellent with the exception of the hotel in Berlin. It was not in a good neighborhood and only had one elevator. We would highly recommend this tour.
no
The schedule and activities were ambitious. Several of our tour mates made this comment. Many who have been on Trafslgar tours before. I think that needed to be communicated in the marketing brochures and in the explanation of the add on activities. That being said, it was an unbelieveable trip.
The castles, cathedrals, government buildings and the scenery were all magnificent. Unfortunately we were restricted by time at every stop. Even our free time did not allow time enough to do much exploring. The hotel accommodations were very good but not in locations conducive to sightseeing unless by taxi or Uber. The bus driver was great but under strict instructions not to stop for any reason. It was from point A to point B only. No stopping for photo ops nor for someone being sick on the bus.(this occurred twice). The tour director was terrible, lacked enthusiasm, was boring and did not consider the well being of his group. Certain travelers were sick prior to starting the tour, managed to spread it throughout the bus with at least half of the passengers suffering from it and the Trafalgar representative did nothing. Did not even provide masks. You had to get your own, hopefully at the next stop if time allowed and a drug store was within walking distance. We were not expecting a vacation but did expect time to enjoy the wonderful places and scenery. What we got was a crash rush. Breakfast at 6:30 (in one case 5:30), be on the bus by 7:30 and sit for two hours before the next *** break. Then we got introduced to the "local" guides at each city who for the most part were too full of their own importance to consider what the individuals may be interested in. There was one exception. Her name was Tamara and she was funny, informative and kept our attention. The optional experiences were not worth the cost, were not as advertised, wasted a lot of time in the bus to get there and back and in some cases poorly organized. We will never do another Trafalgar trip nor would we ever recommend it to anyone else.
Please get the basics right! Currently, they are misplaced! Food: If you’re charging a premium for included meals, make sure there’s real value—especially for vegetarians. Right now, it doesn’t feel worth it. Hotels: Some accommodations were located far from city centers and in areas that felt unsafe—Berlin being one example. This is not acceptable. Alcohol-heavy tours: How many wine tastings and "drink-all-you-can" events do you really need? These trips are marketed as family-friendly, not college spring breaks. Non-drinkers are currently getting little to no value from these activities, which feels unfair. In short, please rethink the basics: value for money, safety, and inclusivity.
We had mixed feelings about our Highlights of Eastern Europe tour. There were 19 optionals to be used over fifteen days as first and last day of the 17 are meet and greet and the day you leave the tour. Large added expense. If you didn’t do the optionals there was not a lot of included to do some days. Our tour guide was disappointing over part of the tour, was like he had to be there and not that interested in the group at times. There was a couple of people that came on the bus that were unwell, nothing was said that may help keep other guests well. Three quarters of the bus became unwell. We felt some guidelines good have been put in place on how to travel with a large group. We have done other Trafalgar tours that have been great so this was disappointing. There are definitely great parts of these countries that need to be seen.
Great places to visit.
As a loyal guest who has participated in nine tours with Trafalgar and Costsaver, I feel compelled to share some recent concerns, particularly as I’ve noticed a decline in certain aspects of the experience. First and foremost, I’ve consistently taken the time to provide feedback after my tours, yet I’ve never received any acknowledgment or follow-up. This lack of engagement is disheartening and makes it feel as though guest input is neither valued nor considered. In my most recent tour, I was struck by the overwhelming number of Optional Experiences. These seem to be increasing steadily, which gives the impression that key elements of the tour are being shifted away from the inclusive itinerary. The Rewards Event was especially disappointing. Despite being marketed as a recognition for returning travelers, it included everyone—regardless of prior travel history with Trafalgar. Furthermore, the event was heavily centered around alcohol. As my spouse and I do not drink, this aspect left us feeling excluded and overlooked. Similarly, the “Make Travel Matter” experience (or whatever the official title was) followed the same format—another alcohol-focused event with no meaningful alternative for non-drinkers. The final night’s dinner was, unfortunately, a complete disappointment for many of us. The tour director was made aware, and I hope this is taken seriously for future improvements. I have a Gluten allergy that the Tour Director was very aware of and said he had conveyed to the Restaurant. The staff at the restaurant were rude and I feel dishonest in the answered provided about what was contained in the food. I felt it was eat it and Shut Up. In the end I was provided with a salad that I am certain No One would Eat much less enjoy. I didn’t eat it. Additionally, several hotels on this tour felt more in line with Costsaver standards rather than what I would expect from Trafalgar. One property even charged guests 20 Euros to use the fitness room, which I found unreasonable and out of step with the advertised quality. Regretfully, I must say that this tour fell far short of expectations. I truly hope this feedback is taken into account and leads to meaningful changes.
