The entire trip was AMAZING! Daniel was an EXCELLENT guide! He was always there for us; with suggestions, advice, help, and talk about humor!! He was the best!
Daniel our tour guide was great. We saw so many new places and everything was beautiful.
Train trip to Mt. Pilatus. Excellent views. Beautiful scenery. Loved being there.
Tour would be better with more time in the mountains and less time in the cities. While the cities have their own beauty, the countryside in all the countries is spectacular and it would be great to spend more time there. There is also too much walking on this tour with some clocking almost 7 miles one day.
We had way too much free time. We feel we did not get to see and experience Switzerland or Austria. Older people don’t want to shop. We want to experience the area. Mountains waterfalls wildlife. For $16,000-17,000 for a couple our trip should be filled with experiences we will never forget. Colette needs to review their trips and make adjustments.
Very good pace of activity and free time.
There were too many favorites to mention. We had spectacular weather, an incredible & knowledgeable & personable tour guide -BEN. One highlight was going up to Mt Pilatus, another was the horse & buggy ride, seeing the Chapel Bridge, Mirabelli Gardens & the Incredible Tyrolean folklore show in Innsbruck. And I could go on…….
Our promised flight was canceled; so, we flew from Knoxville to San Francisco to layover. The next afternoon , we flew to Zurich Switzerland - 12 hours. We missed the first day of the tour and were tired for two days after that. The first hotel in Bern was adequate at best. After recovering, the rest of the tour was good. However, the provided meals were very average. I enjoyed the Lucerne excursion with a trip to Mt Pilatus. I will never fly United or use Collette again. We have traveled with Globus, Trifalgar, Insight, Caravan, and UniWorld - all better.
Innsbruck restaurants and Olympic ski jump.
Many "favorite" memories but especially liked the ski jump tour and seeing where the Sound of Music was filmed.
Our tour manager Carmen Manzanares kept us updated on all details prior, during and follow up afterwards to make sure we had the best time on our tour. The destinations, experiences, local guides were fabulous. The hotels were excellent very clean, comfortable beds and pillows, all shower amenities and the delicious breakfasts. Enjoyed our tour manager to join us on our extended excursion to Vienna. It was extremely helpful to get us on the train, show us the city and do and see things we would have missed if she wasn’t there with us. Extra bonus as we saw the Lipizzan stallions perform, in red!
Great tour; highly recommend. The “hub” approach is great - love not having to pack up and travel to a new location every day. Both Bern and Innsbruck are great cities and the daily itineraries were well planned.
Great tour guide
