This was my first Contiki trip and it is going to be the reason why I go on more in the future. Our tour guide was energetic, friendly, and so excited that everyone was there and just made every day an amazing time. Each day of the Active Alps was something new. I got to cross a lot of things off of my bucket list! If I got a chance to go back and do it again, I 100% would. It was the best week of my life.

We’re talking on-site sauna, Schnapps bar, communal lounge area, a shuttle to the main gondola. Hungry after a day on the slopes? Chow down on some warming locally sourced meals in our dining room.
Hopfgarten im Brixental: A member of the team will provide an arrival transfer from Worgl Train Station to Schoneck.
Hopfgarten im Brixental: Enjoy a home cooked dinner, prepared fresh on site by our in house Kitchen Team.
Hopfgarten im Brixental: Mountain Views? Check! We'll end the day with a sunset hike.
Hopfgarten im Brixental: Jump on a bike & head out for a fully guided tour through picture-perfect Austrian mountain scenery. In a region that is all about the outdoors, this is the perfect way to take in the fresh alpine air, waterfalls, mountain streams & meadows. Once you've worked up an appetite, there's a BBQ lunch of Austrian wurst & kraut salad to finish.
Lauterbrunnen: We'll head out into the slopes for a 15 km (mostly flat or downhill) hike to Murren, passing by beautiful woodlands with epic mountain views. Oh, and don't worry, a cable car will help us conquer the steepest part of the trail! Plus, we'll check out Gimmelwald on the way and even visit Trummelbach Falls

Trip was ok nothing special. If you have lots of money to spend then you will enjoy it otherwise you can feel excluded from the group bc there is peer pressure to do all extra paid activities. For Australians who haven’t been to Austria or Switzerland it is a good introduction to the countries but for a European do NOT attend this trip. It is cheaper to stay solo and explore the areas yourself. There are nearby campsites. With every Contiki you risk getting a bad group but if you are willing to chance this then go on the trip. The areas visited were gorgeous, it was an active trip but no way near enough as expected. You only do a 20km bike ride, 1.5 ish hour walk and that is it. Had to do my own hikes to enjoy the scenery which tour guide did not even know about. Expected more for what I paid but glad I went to see the mountains. Won’t do another Contiki but enjoyed the experience overall. If you don’t enjoy drinking don’t go either. I don’t drink (maybe once a year) and noticed about half the group drank every night.

So many fun add on options, loved that we were able to spend more nights in one hostel, accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Loved my trip manager. Food was delicious and filling. Would do the whole thing again in a heartbeat. If anyone is nervous to book this trip or is hesitant for any reason, don't be, you will never regret it.
