The 11-day, guided tour of India's Golden triangle coupled with the cities of Jodhpur and Udaipur in Rajasthani as well as Mumbai is a perfect gateway for those wanting to simultaneously experience India's rich past and growing present.

Starting with a sightseeing tour of Delhi, India's capital city, this tour will take you to Agra, home to the majestic Taj Mahal, before travelling to the princely cities of Rajasthan that are known throughout the world for their lavish palaces and gigantic forts. Explore the cities of Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur while in Rajasthan. See the grand City Palace in Jaipur, the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort in the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort an =d lavishly decorated interiors of palaces in Udaipur before travelling to Mumbai.

Enjoy a sightseeing tour of India's financial and entertainment capital and explore the ancient Elephanta Caves before it's time to head home. Stay in 3-star hotels or similar and go out on sightseeing tours in a private vehicle accompanied by a professional, English-speaking driver during this tour. day 1 - Delhi arrival

Our representative will meet you upon arrival at the international airport in Delhi and transfer you to the hotel. Delhi stands as a symbol of India's magnificent past and thriving present. This city has never failed to amaze its visitors with its beautiful blend of various groups, diverse cultures and traditions as well as with its heritages of a bygone eras. You are free after checking into the hotel. Stay overnight in Delhi.

day 2 - Delhi sightseeing tour

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and meet your tour guide. Your first destination is the Jama Masjid of Delhi, one of the largest mosques in the country. Visit Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi's biggest and oldest bazaar next. Later, walk up to the Fatehpuri Mosque and enjoy a rickshaw ride from the mosque to Red Fort.

Meet our driver outside the fort and hop into the car. Drive past the fort (a 17th century historical monument) to reach Rajghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. An eternal flame burns on one side of this memorial.

Next, we will take you to Humayun's Tomb, widely regarded as India's first garden-style tomb. Inspired by the Persian architectural style, the main highlight of this tomb are the four garden squares surrounded by passages and channel for supplying water.

Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (the resident of India's president). See the residence of the president of India and India Gate, an archway built in honor of the soldiers who died in World War I. Visit Qutub Minar, built by Qutab-ud-din Aibak in 1193 AD to mark the beginning of the Muslim rule in India.

You have the option to drive to Red Fort for a sound and light show in the evening. Learn more about the rise and fall of empires and the making of Delhi during this show. Stay overnight at your hotel in Delhi.

day 3 - Delhi – Agra

Head for Agra after breakfast. This city rose to prominence as the capital of Mughal emperors from 1526 AD to 1628 AD. It still remains a popular tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur Sikri, all of which are Unesco World Heritage sites.

Check into your hotel in Agra upon arrival. Rest for a while and start your Agra tour with a visit to Agra Fort, which resembles the magnificent Red Fort of Delhi. Later in the evening, enjoy a beautiful view of the Taj Mahal, the most extravagant symbol of love, dedication and purity ever that took almost 22 years to build. It is an ivory-white marble monument where rests the mortal remains of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan (who built this monument) and his wife Mumtaz.

An interesting fact about this stunning edifice is that it turns pinkish in the morning, milky white in the evening and golden at night as the moonlight falls upon it. Watching sunset over this iconic monument is truly a sight to behold. Stay overnight at your hotel in Agra.

day 4 - Agra – Jaipur

Drive to the beautiful city of Jaipur after breakfast. Visit Fatehpur Sikri, the abandoned city of the Mughals, en route. This city boasts some magnificent monuments built during the Mughal era, including Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and the Tomb of Salim Chishti.

You will get enough time to explore Fatehpur Sikri continuing your journey. Check into your hotel upon arrival in Jaipur, a city that is also known as India's "Pink City" due to extensive use of pink sandstone in its buildings. Its monuments showcase a myriad of architectural styles and its vibrant bazaars are famous for traditional handicrafts and jewellery. The ambiance of this city speaks volumes of the lavish lifestyle of the Rajput kings. Stay overnight at a hotel in Jaipur.

day 5 - Jaipur sightseeing tour

We will take you to. the famous Amer Fort, dating back to the 16th century, after breakfast. This fort displays private halls, pavilions and private chambers of kings and members of royalty. Enjoy an elephant ride in the fort.

Next, head for City Palace, Jaipur, which consists of private and public chambers, courtyards, gateways, private chambers of kings and royalty and a lot more. Later, head to Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory that features the world’s largest sundial. Visit Hawa Mahal, a five-storey palace built in 1799 AD during Rajput rule.

This palace is popular for its intricately designed 953 windows adorned with spectacular latticework. You are free to explore the city on your own once the tour is over late in he afternoon.

We suggest you explore Jaipur's markets selling textiles, gems, carpets and handicrafts and buy some souvenirs if you want to. Stay overnight at a hotel in Jaipur.

day 6 - Jaipur – Jodhpur

Drive to Jodhpur after breakfast. Jodhpur is where the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort is located. This fort overlooks houses painted in bright blue colors and offers spectacular views of the city. You are free after checking into your hotel in Jodhpur.

day 7 - Jodhpur sightseeing tour & drive to Udaipur

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Jodhpur. Visit Mehrangarh Fort, built in 1459. A well-preserved cannon standing on the fort and overlooking the city is a sight to behold. Within the fort are some magnificent palaces with meticulously carved panels and latticed windows. The chambers of Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, Sileh Khana and Daulat Khana speak volumes of the splendor and glamor of a bygone era.

Next, visit Jaswant Thada, a graceful marble cenotaph built in the loving memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II (Maharaja of Jodhpur from 1873-1895). Time to pack your bags and head for Udaipur. En route, visit the famous Ranakpur Jain Temple, a 15th century temple made of white marble. It was built by a rich Jain businessman and is dedicated to Lord Adinath, the first Tiranthakara (spiritual teacher) of Jainism.

This temple is said to have around 1,400 pillars that look different from each other. Continue your drive to Udaipur. Chec into your hotel upon reaching the city. You are free for the rest of the day.

day 8 - Udaipur sightseeing tour

The historic city of Udaipur was founded in 1533 AD and is named after its founder, Maharaja Udai Singh. The city is known for its azure water lakes and a rich Rajput heritage. In addition to its lake palace, Udaipur is renowned for its solar observatory.

Your Udaipur sightseeing tour starts after breakfast. Visit City Palace, Udaipur, built in 1559 and overlooking Lake Pichola. The main attractions of this palace are Durbar Hall, Crystal Gallery, Palace Museum and Jagdish Temple.

Later, visit Sahelion Ki Bari, a small, ornamental garden meant for the rulers, followed by a trip to Bharatiya Lok Kala Mandal, which features a collection of folk art items. Enjoy a boat ride in Lake Pichola, an artificial freshwater lake built in 1362 AD that is also the oldest and one of the largest lakes in the city.

We will then take you to a sound and light show in City Palace, Udaipur. The show, titled "Yash ki Dharohar" (Legacy of Honor), takes you on a fascinating, one-hour journey of Udaipur's past, specially that of the Mewar dynasty that ruled over this place. Stay overnight in Udaipur.

day 9 - Udaipur - Mumbai (by flight)

We will transfer you to the airport after breakfast for your flight to Mumbai (airfare not included in the tour price). Meet our representative upon landing in India's financial and entertainment capital and transfer to your hotel. You are free for the rest of the day.

day 10 - Mumbai sightseeing tour

Set off on a sightseeing tour of Mumbai after breakfast. Your first destination is the Elephanta Caves located on the Elephanta island. Enjoy a ferry ride from the Gateway of India to the island. These caves were built between fifth and eighth centuries and are a set of rock-cut cave temples.

An impressive, 20-feet-high Trimurthi featuring the three aspects of Lord Shiva (creator, protector and destroyer) is the prime highlight of this cave temple. Head back to the jetty to take the ferry back to the Gateway of India after having explored the monument.

Spend some time taking pictures at the Gateway of India, one of Mumbai's most important landmarks. This monument was built in 1924 to honor King George V and Queen Mary's visit to India in 1911.

Next, visit the Prince of Wales Museum, also called Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, built during the early 20th century. This museum is a blend of Indo-Saracenic architecture with an impressive white dome on the top. This museum is said to have around 2,000 miniature paintings along with artefacts belonging to the Indus Valley civilization.

Later, visit the Hanging Gardens, which came into being in 1880, located in the Malabar Hills. A splendid view of the Arabian Sea adds to the beauty of this natural realm. A striking flower clock is the main attraction here. End your Mumbai sightseeing tour with a visit to Marine Drive, the heart and soul of Mumbai stretched across the coast of Arabian Sea. Illuminated by lights at nights, the drive gives an impression of a dazzling chain, the reason why it is also called "Queen's Necklace".
