A very enjoyable week cycling around Provence in glorious weather. Good company and an experienced and knowledgeable tour Leader. Our third cycle tour with Explore all of which have created great memories.
The hotel in Avignon is rather basic, and the rides from Avignon start and finish there. There are lots of cycle paths with barriers and roundabouts to be navigated, and traffic in rush hour. The hotel in Pernes-les-Fontaines is much more comfortable, although the food at the hotel in the evening was rather disappointing. The rides from here were much better - no traffic or cycle paths, just country roads.
