My husband and I really enjoyed the itinerary and our guide on our Croatia and the Dalmatian Coast Trip. was very knowledgeable on everything Croatia and was a very seasoned travel guide. We felt like our stay in Zagreb could have been shortened and we could have spent more time in other cities. A cooler of water bottles on the bus would have been nice also. We especially loved the truffle farm visit and the oyster farm excursion.More side trips like that help us get to know the Croatians and their culture. The 5 star hotels were fabulous!

1. Aside from the hotels in Zagreb and Dubrovnik, I would not consider the other hotels to be five-star. 2. The guided tour in Split was duplicated on days 5 and 11. It would have been nice to have different experiences. 3. The cruise crew was fantastic, as was the boat itself. However, the ports of call became monotonous and all seemed the same after about the third day. A five-day cruise would have been more appropriate, perhaps starting in Split and ending in Dubrovnik. 4. Aside from an hour tour in the old city, nothing else was planned in Dubrovnik, which is odd since it was the most interesting stop of the entire trip. We were given a city pass to explore the various attractions in town at leisure, but it felt like a lost opportunity. 5. The restaurant staff at most locations seemed overwhelmed by our large group. There were only 19 of us in the Luxury Gold group and 32 for the cruise group, but the wait staff were rude in some cases (Split) and completely frazzled in others (Dubrovnik). Maybe consider splitting meal times into two smaller groups? 6. The constant reminders that only two drinks (soda, bottled water, beer and wine) were included with both lunch and dinner became grating after a while. I've taken other Luxury Gold tours and this was never mentioned, so it seemed out of place and like we were being nickel and dimed if we wanted water in addition to two small glasses of wine with lunch.
