Classic Egypt with Nile Cruise

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Egypt - thanks to our lovely tour guide Adel who was the best, and our amazing group gelling so well together. It’s a very well put together trip including all the major cultural attractions that you would want to visit and we learned so much due to Adel’s expertise and knowledge. For British groups I think the addition of the Cataract Hotel would enhance the experience - we loved it there. And possibly the home of Howard Carter which we did during time we added at the end. This was a very enjoyable, busy trip where we saw so many sites. Your leader,Ahmed, was very organised and passionate about Egyptian history. The optional trips to Abu Simbel and the balloon flight were excellent too.

Great trip with lots to see and do and your guide done well to avoid the crowds in the places visited. Only downside was lost of early mornings throughout the trip!

This has been a fabulous trip, maintaining balance between sightseeing and visiting cultural sights and relaxing during the cruise. Ahmed was an exceptional guide, and made our journey so well organised, informative and safe.

Led by a great guide Mohammad Adel the trip fully explored all the various sights of Egypt. Despite the very early start all our group took up the optional extra of visiting Abu Simbel so would definitely recommend it as it's an amazing place. Nearly all of us as well participated in the optional balloon trip over the Valley of the Kings, definitely a highlight. Be prepared for the crowds and the constant hassling of vendors and focus instead on the incredible places of history that you'll see during the trip - unmissable!

We had the most amazing 10 days on our Egypt Tour and Nike cruise. What made it so special was our guide Mohammed who imparts so much knowledge of ancient Egypt and Egypt today. The food and accommodation were of a high standard and all the trips especially the Hot Air Balloon trip has left us with such wonderful memories . Thank you Mohammed and Explore

An excellent trip with visits to all major sites. The guide was brilliant. He looked after us with attention to detail and kindness. He was incredibly knowledgeable too. I'm pleased that explore doesn't support the visit to Edfu by horse but they need to arrange a mini bus alternative. This is not the guides fault but the company. It's worth saying that the literature says its ok to bring Sterling but that causes a problem and needs correction. Again the guide made this trip excellent and is a credit to the company

The whole trip was excellent. The itinerary ensured we visited the important sites of ancient Egypt and we also saw modern Egypt as well. The tour guide, Mohamed Osama, was excellent and very knowledgeable. He answered all the questions asked of him, while dealing with the logistics of the Tour.

The itinerary is well balanced, very busy as described but not overwhelming We were lucky to have Mohammad Nahl as our guide His knowledge and passion for his country is immense He turned himself inside out to ensure that everyone in the group had the best experience possible.

Our tour leader Muhammed book ended our trip by thanking us for visiting and asking us to spread the word that Egypt was open for business and a safe place to visit. His love and passion for his country was obvious as he guided us on a fantastic adventure. Egypt didn't disappoint and as confirmed by our fellow travellers, this trip came the closest to ticking all the boxes when compared it's competitors. A big thank you to Muhammed for his hard work, he must have been shattered by the end, as this trip is full on but we enjoyed every second.

I had such an incredible time on this explore trip. The itinerary was full on but there were still moments for relaxation where you could choose to visit other temples or sit in the sun. Our trip explore leader Mohammad was amazing and absolutely made my trip and I don’t think we could have had a better tour guide. He was so knowledgable thank you so much Mohammad!

Excellent trip, fantastic sightseeing with a great group and an excellent guide! The pace was full on but everything worth it . The lunch with a local family, the visit of the school and the dinner with a nubian family gave it a special touch and the overnight train journey was really good fun. The only downside was the poor heating in some of the hotel/cruise ship rooms, bring a woolly jumper to sleep in if you travel in winter! Our guide was fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, fun, though when it was needed and managed always to accommodate some last minute wishes:

Mohamed Ali has to be the best guide in the country. He is a walking encyclopedia of Egyptian History.

One of the best trips I have done for ages. Mohamed was an amazing guide - not only knowledgeable but also great at helping us to navigate travelling in Egypt and at arranging things so that it all flowed smoothly and easily. It is an amazing itinerary, especially if you allow for including as many of the optional excursions as you can - an intense ten days with a huge amount packed in without feeling rushed. Hotels were all good (and well located), as was the boat and the food. The sleeper train was probably the low point - not all that comfortable and poor food - but it made the best use of the time in terms of travelling and it's only for one night. Despite tensions elsewhere in the Middle East, this never felt unsafe in any way. Overall, an amazing trip and well worth going. Thanks to Mohamed and all at Explore!
