Egypt Sightseeing Trips

Hello good evening. We had just an absolutely marvelous time! From the moment that Hesham picked us up at the airport and throughout the full 3 days, we were simply delighted. Hesham was so great to work with us and adjust the itinerary according to our abilities and physical well being. He told us which sites were very important and which ones were closed so that we could choose. He never acted hurried, or tried to push us. And yet we saw so very much! He is very knowledgeable and we learned so much. In many ways, the trip was a historical journey into ancient Egypt, as expected. But what we did not expect was the deeply spiritual nature of what we saw. We were able to connect with the origins of our own religion through the ancient religions we saw depicted. Hesham was just great and his English is excellent so we felt that we were not losing knowledge in translation.The tour itself was extremely well laid out! Thank you for taking our considerations into account as you shaped the trip. We definitely were glad to see the dam and Aswan before we boarded for the cruise. And that was just fantastic! The attendants on the boat were so very very helpful and gracious. The room was super comfortable and we loved the large window. We also were glad for the comfortable bed. What a difference that makes. What a beautiful river. Unfortunately for us, the wind was pretty strong and a bit cold so we did not stay up on the deck very much, so it was great to have the room as an option. And we felt that the food was very good and quite a variety. It was just great!As for all the sites , it was beyond imagination. I cannot tell you how amazing it was. We had to cut back on some of them due to the stamina of my husband, but we felt that we got the most out of everything. As I said above, Hesham was great and he also was able to get us in the front of the lines, which also helped. Thank you so much for planning such an important and spectacular itinerary.And thank you for the two hotels, the one in Luxor was spectacular and they were so gracious to allow us to stay for an extra two hours in our room and then to use the facilities until we had to leave for the airport. The one in Cairo was perfect location, but just basic. All we needed for that night, though.All the drivers were excellent, careful drivers, and very friendly.All in all, we cannot say enough about the amazing time we had. Yes, you guys certainly delivered and then some. It far exceeded my expectations. Special shout out to our guide Hesham Ali, he was so informative entertaining and patient. Our guide Kalid was very special Also to Hatem, he touched based everyday with our guides and us to make sure we were having fun haha. The on our trip. The trip was overall amazing, gave us a new appreciation for egypt and travel at large. Very special trip, thank you again for having all of the bases covered, i know without a plan a trip to egypt could have been a mess but it was as smooth as possible for us.

The tour was well organized and stress free. I saw many cultural and religious sites in a very efficient way. I would highly recommend this trip to my friends even if they are not into organized tours because there was so much value added with excellent tour guides and comfortable and safe transportation.

We had a great time in Cairo with Charlie’s guide and driver. I was very thankful that I could change the itinerary at the last minute with no problem. I especially liked the concierge service that kept in communication with us making sure everything went smoothly. They were on top of things when we had to change our pick up time because of a lost bag at the airport. The guide made sure we were having a good time and saw everything we wanted to see. She was easy to understand and a joy to be around. The driver did an excellent job getting around some very close places. I felt safe and well taken care of. Thanks to Charlie The Traveler’s team for their flexibility, patience, and knowledge of the city.

Muhammad met us in Luxor. He was fun and knowledgeable. I now know more about the Pharaohs, gods, tombs and temples than I ever believed possible. I am a nut on the subject of Egypt… In Cairo we met Nasser. He was so funny and wanted so much to do everything for us. At one point he made the driver stopped so he could get us a breakfast sandwich Egypt Style. He negotiated us through the back alleys of the bazaars and gave us a look that we never would have had the nerve to do on our own. The security guard in Giza had both Ruth and I drooling. He should have been in movies. We kept teasing him that we wanted to see his gun. The camel ride was good at the pyramids…. Sharm-el-Sheikh's resort was fantastic. We skipped our day of snorkeling and enjoyed relaxing on the beach. It was way too cold to even consider putting on a bathing suit.

Charlie and his team were great, really couldn't fault them - despite me being a very difficult customer at times! 😂 I took the suggested itinerary and added some logistical nightmares with travel and very restrictive timings, and all with very little time to plan. They showed great patience, a willingness to listen and help get the trip that I wanted. Did everythingo go 100% smoothly? No, but then in my experience these things rarely do, especially in a country like Egypt. That's exactly when you need someone like Charlie, sorting issues out and getting things back on track as quickly as possible. I wouldn't hestitate use them again, or recommend them to a friend.
