This is a jam-packed itinerary with scenery that you only read about. The tour is well paced - we walked about 4 miles a day- and saw some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Trafalgar does a great job of providing opportunities to learn about the local customs, traditions and livelihoods of the places they offer tours of.
I did already rate my trafalgar trip while I was still in Norway. Excellent!
5⭐️ Natural Beauty: We went for Best of Norway tour and it was truly one of the most beautiful countries we have ever visited. Its nature and landscape, mountains and valleys, and fjords are just stunning! 5⭐️ Tour guide: is very knowledgeable and experienced, making the trip more memorable. 5⭐️ Coach driver: is such a skillful driver who drove safely especially along the winding roads. 5⭐️ Meals included were excellent! All fishes option were excellent. 5⭐️ Tour mates: we enjoyed the company of our tour mates who were all very punctual and friendly. We travelled together well like family. 4⭐️ hotel location: most are located perfectly near the centre of tourist attraction. The only hotel with laundry room is: Havilla Hotel Geiranger. We had 2 nights stay there so it was perfect. 3⭐️ hotel comfort: no water kettle provided and bed was rather small. So u may need to bring ur own portable kettle. However all the hotels are clean! Highly recommend this tour! ♥️
Covered the country's highlights is a short period of time. The tour director did an outstanding job coordinating all the logistics: bus, train, and ship. A most enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this trip.
The trip was great and had a phenomenal. Dino was a great guide and was very knowledgeable .
Hotel rooms no glasses to take medication Small portion at dinner Poor excuse for beef $750.00 taken from suitcase when left the room at the hotel we stayed two nights at
We learned a lot about each destination. It was quite an educational trip. The days were pretty packed with events, many included walking long distances. It is not a good trip for a person who cannot easily navigate stairs or walk uneven surfaces.
This was a sensation tour, *personal info removed by Feefo* was a great tour guide who led us through the amazing scenery of Norway. The tour also had some special local experiences with local farmers and tour guides. I highly recommend this tour
The itinerary was quite bare. After adding up the optional tours it’s not cheap.
All in all an excellent trip. A bit too much time traveling on the bus. The evening meals were just OK, while breakfasts were spectacular!
This trip was wonderful! You get to see lots of areas in Norway in a short period of time. The driver and tour guides are very knowledgeable and give the tour a special touch! So much fun! You don't have to worry about your bags. Everything is taken care of for you. The meals provided were excellent! So much food for the value and we loved the breakfasts. We would love to take another trip with Trafalgar.
I would have preferred having several places with 2-night stays, rather than just 1. We stayed in a few more "quiet and quaint" places, but more of the hotels were crowded with other tours and did not have any character. A little more time for hikes and relaxing would be welcomed. Boat and train rides were fabulous. Bus driver and *personal info removed by Feefo* were also excellent.
Very good choices.
I felt for my 1st bus trip it was way to much time on the bus. Taking alot of pictures from a seat in the bus. The windows all have a sticker of a person in a seatbelt on them. Which unfortunately is in many pictures. The scenery was beautiful. The included spots were abit cheesy. There could be more food options. And needed more time to find something to eat for lunch. Our bus driver was excellent! Our tour guide *personal info removed by Feefo* also Excellent and very knowledgeable and helpful. I think Trafalgar could find better hotels for the money we paid for this trip. I could do 3 cruises. All said and done we did have a nice time.
It was a beautiful trip with an ideal itinerary . I think we did see the best of Norway. Our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and a an excellent leader. He made the trip fun with his banter and people skills.
I loved all of the places. The optional City tour in Bergen was just ok. We went to a wooden home village as an example of what was there and replaced by brick/stone buildings. It was a quick tour and not impressive. Either eliminate that part or include tours of the inside of the buildings. I did like seeing the old buildings along the bay painted different colors, that stand in a row where the Germans lived and the tour behind and the Church behind. Then going up to the high view point. Loved all of the Farm visits. Would have liked more time with Kon-Tiki and the Arctic explorer in Oslo and less time with the sculpture park. I was not impressed with the park.
Good mix of various stops, photo stops, farms, boats, trains, short hikes, etc. The optional experiences were all great
Loved the scenic tours but sure was a lot of time on the bus. Driver was wonderful getting us up the switchbacks and back. The cheese factory was closed so only a lecture. Not vacation material. The hotels were sparse with towels, bath mats & no conditioner anywhere! Tour Guide was wonderful. The park tour was pretty but again not vacation material. Wish I had not paid for those 2 tours.... While the meals were good, buy travel partners were not happy with no choices for dinners.
It is a busy but fun itinerary. We saw everything there is to see. This is our 5th trip with Trafalgar and not our last. Our guide was the best! The other travelers were awesome and fun!
Another wonderful trip with Trafalgar! As always, everything was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. The itinerary covered all the must-see landmarks, along with some hidden gems that made the experience even more special. Oslo stood out as a highlight — a vibrant city with exceptional museums. We would have loved an extra day there to explore more, especially to visit the Munch Museum and the Nobel Peace Center, which we ended up doing on our own. Aside from that small wish, the trip was absolutely perfect.
The itinerary and scenery was amazing. We had as a tour director and he was outstanding. Memories to last a lifetime!
This tour of Norway, my first ever visit, was a great way to get a feel for the country and the people. The added excursions were hard to choose from so we did them all. The bus was comfortable and the driver was excellent. Our wonderful tour guide kept us informed about the history of each area and made us feel like a family.
Everywhere we went was beautiful but we were disappointed with most of the dinners as we did not get a choice unless you were vegan. Our tour guide was very good and knowledgeable. Did not like 2 things in particular. The cheese factory stop and the local tour guide in Oslo(?)
Comprehensive view of country. On the water views of Fjords, mountain top views, city explorations. Excellent tour guide. Hotel accommodations very good. Tour bus very comfortable with rotating seating. Perfect weather!
Loved it. is an excellent tour director, very knowledgeable about places and events. I refer land tours vs cruises which allowed us to visit places cruise ship passengers may not see. I booked last minute so all went well. My second Trafalgar tour so likely more to come.
Increase the stop over time for good viewing stop Hotel with better beds
Our Best of Norway tour was a family affair and it lived up to its’ name in almost every way. The scenery was unbelievably beautiful. Even the rather lengthy bus rides provided miles and miles of beautiful distractions. Our tour director and driver were the very best. Our travel companions were great, very pleasant and very punctual. The hotels ranged from barely adequate to barely acceptable. That is my only reason for the 4-star rating. Overall, it was a great trip, a great family experience.
The itinerary and options took us to many spectacular scenaries and wonderful experiences in Norway. The tour director is knowledgeable and able to provide interesting details of the places and people involved. And the driver was a confident and safe driver that allow us to travel with peace of mind. What needs improvements are the accommodations. Eg the Quality Hotel Sogna, Scandic Hafjell, and Scadic Solli, all did not offer any kettle in the room, Havila Geiranger Hotel is also without kettle and even glass/cups for brush up, and no fruit juice for breakfast for 2 consecutive days.
We had a wonderful travel experience on our recent trip visiting Norway. Our travel guide did an excellent job sharing his extensive knowledge of the area. He was very attentive to details and very helpful in answering any questions. Our driver did a fantastic job navigating the highway and hairpin turns in the countryside . Beautiful country with mountains, fjords , farms . Would highly recommend this tour .
The itinerary for Best of Norway is well thought out and paced. Doing a clockwise tour of the country allows for beautiful scenery, opportunities to see waterfalls & fjords up close, and then the city life too. There is ample time for personal exploration as well as guided experiences. Our guide and driver were experts!! :)
Awespiring natural scenery.
