With a rich history in farming and surrounded in greenery, Oslo is a city in close contact with nature. The inclusion of so many old pastures into the city’s modern borders make it the one of the largest capital cities in the world at 453 square kilometers in total. The city fans out much like an amphitheater

5⭐️ Natural Beauty: We went for Best of Norway tour and it was truly one of the most beautiful countries we have ever visited. Its nature and landscape, mountains and valleys, and fjords are just stunning! 5⭐️ Tour guide: is very knowledgeable and experienced, making the trip more memorable. 5⭐️ Coach driver: is such a skillful driver who drove safely especially along the winding roads. 5⭐️ Meals included were excellent! All fishes option were excellent. 5⭐️ Tour mates: we enjoyed the company of our tour mates who were all very punctual and friendly. We travelled together well like family. 4⭐️ hotel location: most are located perfectly near the centre of tourist attraction. The only hotel with laundry room is: Havilla Hotel Geiranger. We had 2 nights stay there so it was perfect. 3⭐️ hotel comfort: no water kettle provided and bed was rather small. So u may need to bring ur own portable kettle. However all the hotels are clean! Highly recommend this tour! ♥️

Covered the country's highlights is a short period of time. The tour director did an outstanding job coordinating all the logistics: bus, train, and ship. A most enjoyable experience. Highly recommend this trip.

We learned a lot about each destination. It was quite an educational trip. The days were pretty packed with events, many included walking long distances. It is not a good trip for a person who cannot easily navigate stairs or walk uneven surfaces.

The host and driver *personal info removed by Feefo* were great, attentive and considerate. A lot of driving but spectacular scenery. My only beef was the dinners provided by Insite (not the buffets) were mediocre at best. Meat was fatty and inedible. Be ready for lots of rain and wind in the Fjords.

The Tour Director *personal info removed by Feefo* was amazing. She was thoroughly organized and knowledgeable. The coach driver was the best. His driving in difficult conditions was outstanding. We never felt uncomfortable at any time.

This was a sensation tour, *personal info removed by Feefo* was a great tour guide who led us through the amazing scenery of Norway. The tour also had some special local experiences with local farmers and tour guides. I highly recommend this tour

Oslo - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

and residential areas spreading up into the hills. Oslo’s Marka forest is home to wildlife large and small, all included in this unique city’s unofficial demographic.

Travel Highlights

  • Literary fans should head to the Ibsen Museum. The perfectly retained last residence of the ‘Father of Realism’ and playwright Henrik Ibsen gives visitors a true insight into Oslo of the 19th century.
  • The Oslo Opera House is an iconic building that sits on the city’s waterfront. Reflecting the rippling waves in its glass windows and all-in-all resembling a giant glacier floating along the Oslofjord, it’s a must-see.
  • While a fire in 1624 destroyed much of medieval Oslo, Akershus remains. Built in the 14th century as a protective fortress, Akershus castle commands the Oslo harbour.
  • One of Norway’s biggest tourist attractions is the focal point of Frognerparken. Vigelandsanlegget is an incredible body of work showcasing everyday people by Norway’s most-loved sculptor Gustav Vigeland.

Travel Tips

  • Food is expensive in Oslo. If you’re buying groceries, stick to local produce that is cheaper than imported products and save upscale restaurants for a special treat.
  • To save money on sight-seeing, get a tourism card that will give you free entry to all attractions as well as public transport.
  • Nature lovers can take advantage of the free public camping laws in Norway. Pitch a tent in any part of Oslo’s greenery and save on accommodation costs.
  • Book transport tickets in advance to save as much as 50% on the costs.
