Norway Tours in January 2026

I loved everything about this trip. The accommodation was cozy and the beds incredible. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful and the surroundings stunning as they only can be in Norway

Hotel is run by a family. I cannot overstate how well they treated us. Buffet meals three times per day. Free WiFi. The snow was amazing. We had no cross country skiing experience before. Tour guides were excellent and coached us around 3-4 hours per day. Massage / Pilates / Yoga classes helped greatly with muscle soreness. I thought I was relatively fit, but I found by the end of the morning session I was happy to relax for the rest of the day. Despite eating well, I think I have lost a couple of kg on the trip!

This trip arranged by this tour operator cannot be faulted...it was absolutely brilliant! The organisation from start to finish was smooth running; the location was perfect, providing on and off track skiing in beautiful Norwegian countryside; the accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with amazing views towards the mountain; and the food was simply delicious! In fact, we loved it so much, we're going back this year!

This was my third visit to Mosstrond. Snow conditions were excellent - deep powder and little wind. A good mix of days bagging peaks, leading up to the magnificent Magnusgronutane which hadn't been climbed by the traveling group from this tour company for about 4 years (due to snow conditions), with sporty descents through birch woods. Philip and Maiken Yatman treated us like family and Neil led us each day and shared his knowledge of the history of this part of Telemark. I was sad to leave .... but hope to be back.

Just back from an amazing way to spend New Year. I was slightly hesitant that skiing may not be my thing but it's so accessible to get involved even for the complete novice. What great fun...I've never fallen over so many times and my knees are still bruised but it was worth it! The lodge and the couple running it were so hospitable, the facilities simple Scandi 'hygge' and there was nothing more pleasant than a hot sauna to warm up in at the end of a day in the cold. As a veggie, I was also pleased with the care and attention to providing protein rich options for dinner - the food was hearty and wholesome.

Venabu is a great addition to the Exodus brochure. Good range of skiing, great leaders, effective instruction, very good hotel. This would also be a good base for some overnught(s) in the huts that are within reach. A must do trip!
