Reviews of our Norway Tours for Senior Citizens

Our senior travelers love their Norway journeys — here's what they say.

I loved all the guided walks on the tour, provided by both the tour manager as well as the hired guides and concessionaires. All of the included excursions were wonderful. I found all of the museums visited very interesting.

We had an excellent tour of Sweden, Denmark and Norway and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highlights were all of the museums in each of the countries (especially the Vasa Museum in Stockholm), plus the train trip across Sweden (except for the extremely early departure time), the outstanding overnight ferry between Copenhagen and Oslo, the scenery (especially the fjord areas in Norway), the Flam, Norway, train ride, and the local guide tours were all well done. All of the motor coach drivers were exceptional. We had two Tour Directors, Kees and Wendela. Both were very knowledgeable about our destinations but Wendela especially provided extensive commentary on the areas of the tour she was responsible for. Both really cared about all of the tour group members and their comfort levels on the bus and walking tours, etc. Some use of both email and WhatsApp with providing the next day's agenda, times, etc., was made and should be used more. The Alexandra Hotel in Loen, Norway, was exceptional. Our room was large by European standards, the indoor and outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs were impressive as were the robes, towels and slippers provided in each room. The 2 buffet dinners and breakfasts we had were excellent. The Scandic Spectrum Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark, was overall very unimpressive. We were disappointed with several of the included dinner meals on the tour with the lack of choice of food. Really, why was there no choice of a starter several times? Not everyone eats fish stew or smoked salmon. We can’t believe a restaurant can’t serve a salad instead. The least appreciated parts of the tour were the Viegland sculpture park in Oslo, Norway, and the farewell dinner restaurant in Bergen. We would rate both at 1 star at best. We have already signed up for our next Collette tour.

This tour was one of my favorites with Collette. I've been traveling and leading tours for 15 years and this was one of the most spectacular places for beauty I've been thus far. We had two tour managers and I have to brag on both of them! This tours, was by far the best tour also because of these two tour managers; they made it remarkable. First of all we had Kees, and he was absolutely the best I have ever had! He was so knowledgeable, kind, went well above and beyond what any of the other tour guides I have ever had (no joke) has ever done before. He told joke, he sang, he participated, he was kind, he was attentive and had to leave us due to an emergency due to his family. The entire coach was so very upset...until Lawendela came! She was also such a delight and fun and knowledgeable. She jumped right in, and it was like a mini Kees. We all felt both of their dedication to the tour and to Collette. Collette is lucky to have both of these two tour managers on their team. Like I said, I have been lots of place with Collette and mostly overseas and this tours with Kees and then Lawendela was superb! 10 our of 10! Except I did have jewery stolen at one hotel which was about $75.00 worth that I just purchased! Very saddened about that.

Train and ferry really great. Last farewell dinner food was poor quality. Loved all excursion but need to see inside castles more and see munch museum on day two would be nice. Had to pay for lunch and dinner way too many times . Really loved all the extra guides very knowledgeable and professional. Tour quides very good with people skills and management of travelers especially with event info for each day was written with material and using whats app and emails. Always available for any needs, can't say enough about keese he was exceptional.

Loved this tour! I was unsure about it at first, but was very pleasantly surprised. I thought the tour manager was well prepared and very knowledgeable about all aspects of Scandinavian life. I took off one Star because she wasn't too personable for about half of the tour. She became more relaxed and enjoyable later on. I loved the ferry boat ride through the fjords and also The Falls. It just doesn't get any better than that!

20 out of 10 stars and I enjoyed every single detail our tour guide placed into our week. I loved not having to worry or work to do anything logistical. Even the van we were picked up in at airport was luxurious. The tour guide was there at the airport and the tour guide made sure we were all safely departed from our hotel to airport on last day. He added so many special details into our week and was very knowledgable! I believe Collette did a great job setting up the trip but the tour guide is who makes it memorable and perfect. Thank you Mickie!!!
