The place we went were good, it just felt a bit rushed. Trying to get so much in each day. was awesome and new lists about the place we visited.
I expected and got a deeper insight into this area than my previous visits. Well done. A great TD and driver. I hope my next Trafalgar tour in a week or so is just as satisfying.
Amazing scenery. Excellent tour guide (Matty Dyas) and driver, Wayne. Nice pace, but occasionally felt rushed. Lovely travel companions and excellent seat rotation. Fabulous local guides.
The guide and the driver were excellent. I felt the drive. To st ives was a little long. And tiring the accommodation was good. Well, chosen hotels. I would certainly take another trafalger tour.
The basic itinerary was good and was enhanced in many different ways by and enthusiasm and experience.
Perhaps the novelty has worn thin since my first tour with Trafalgar in 2013.
excellent
On one day we were taken from Paignton to the far side of Dartmoor twice, making a total of 6 hours on the bus. This was exhausting. Two of our nights were at Bideford. This town is very disappointing. A shame as the rest of our destinations were excellent.
Organised well, too rushed and long distance travelling
Excellent itinerary a lot of places covered which one would not go. Enjoyed it and the tour Director Lucent was the best guide, always there for the group and so was Gui the driver.
Could have longer stay in specific town of interest.
It was an interesting trip that took us to smaller places we might not have visited otherwise. Hotels were comfortable. Coach was comfortable with an excellent & thoughtful driver .
An really great trip, interesting, fun as well educational. I took the optional extras because they sounded worthwhile. The harbour trip in Plymouth was great and dinners equally so, Paignton was a superb place to be based as was Bidewell loved the features of the hotel. our tour director is outstanding, and courteous helpful and an excellent driver. I think the nature of the tour encouraged us all to be punctual, because we learned on the first day, that the next stop would contain fascinating features.
It’s was fantastic
More fine-tuning could be done to this tour which would elevate it even higher. Feel Brixham would be a better choice rather than Paignton for the first stay - prettier and more to offer. Hotel is Bideford was well below standard for Trafalgar. The fact that there was no alternative for eating out on the first night was poor - but if more detail was given, alternative plans could have been made. Instead we felt we had no choice but to do the optional dining experience - but at 58 GBP - this was heavy on our pockets. Tour Director could have paid more attention to detail - and provided more information for each day, especially regarding food arrangements. Some key aspects (i.e. historic landmarks, overall history) could have been emphasised more, rather than just about food!
Great itinerary, beautifully narrated historical facts and knowledge of all things Devon and Cornwall.
The itinerary was great, perhaps a bit fast ie really didn't get enough time at places. Maybe future trips could include an extra day so Port Isaac could be included
Overall this is a great tour. Especially if you have as good a leader as we had with . There are some reasonably long bus times on one or 2 days I especially liked that we stayed at the same hotel for 2 or 3 nights. The WhatsApp messages worked well to keep everyone informed. also emailed if some didn't have WhatsApp.
