First, we spend a few days in Mikumi National Park, which lies alongside the Northern border of Africa's biggest Game Reserve - the Selous Game Reserve. The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the fashionable centerpiece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti Plains. More than 400 bird species were recorded, the lilac-breasted rollers, yellow-throated longclaws, and bateleur eagles joined by a host of European migrants during the rainy season.
Next, we visit Ruaha National Park, the second-largest national park in Tanzania which covers an area of about 22,000 km². It is one of Tanzania's few famous wilderness areas, whereby the experience of game viewing is spiced up by the exciting landscape and the Great Ruaha River. Last, we spend a day and a half at Udzungwa, the most significant example of the Eastern Arc Mountains' natural world, which runs in a chain through the whole of Tanzania. The Marangu route is perhaps the easiest and most comfortable route to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's tallest peak. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arusha and drive you to Marangu Gate. From there you follow the trail that takes you to the top of the mountain via Mandara, Horombo and Kibo huts.
The route is well-developed and the climb is constant and of moderate intensity. The only portion that is quite demanding is the approach to the summit. However, you also have the option of adding a day for acclimatization at an additional amount if you want to. The advantage of this route is that kiosks selling mineral water bottles, soft drinks, chocolates and beers are available in camp sites throughout the climb.

Serengeti is Africa's most famous wildlife reserve. Known for its incredible concentration of predators and the great migration of two million wildebeest, the endless, grassy plains of this national park are a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Ngorongoro, on the other hand, is known for a dense concentration of wildlife in a relatively small area as well as its volcanic caldera.
Your journey starts with a pickup from Moshi on Day 1 of this guided tour. Head for Serengeti where you will enjoy a half-day game drive before moving on to Ngorongoro. Spend more than six hours exploring the bowl-shaped reserve before transferring to your hotel in Moshi.
