This was an amazing trip. Varied and interesting hiking, experienced authentic southern Spain, amazing history. Hosts in all the places we stayed were excellent, accommodations were stellar! Tour leader was first rate, best I have ever had on any tour. Hotels one - Casa Rural de Los Camellos, Aguimes. Beautiful characterful buildings and interior courtyard, breakfast OK, staff welcoming and responsive, aircon unreliable. Hotel two - La Aldea suites, La Aldea. Quality modern hotel with well appointed rooms and a pool, superior breakfast, staff welcoming and responsive. Walking was excellent. Two particularly spectacular days in the pine forested areas (to Roque Nublo and down from P. de Las Nieves). Other days held some interest and a few little surprises. Hair pin bends from start to finish on any journey across the island interior, but all adds to the experience.
