The best tour we have ever been on. Magdalena was a fantastic guide! She was extremely well prepared and organised, knowledgeable and lots of fun. Magdalena went out of her way to find new experiences that she thought the group would enjoy. We walked to places that we would never have found by ourselves and stayed in villages that were off the tourist track. The hotels were clean and comfortable. We are already looking for other walks run by Explore World and preferably led by Magdalena. We have already recommended this tour to many people we have met since we finished the walking tour.

UTracks provided the perfect way for my husband and I to walk a lovely part of the Portuguese Camino from Porto to Tui just for a week. The Camino isn’t a luxury vacation, it has a more humble history, and in the past we walked independently, staying in albergues in Spain, with no set daily itinerary on our way to Santiago de Compostela. This time we wanted to walk just a portion of the Portuguese road, with UTracks to do the groundwork and make our reservations for us. The inns and homes chosen to stay in all had charm and convenience and were, without exception, clean and run by friendly people. The route through Northern Portugal is beautiful, and the chosen itinerary alternated between challenging and easy days in order to let us enjoy the charming towns along the way. The tour was very interesting, visiting many places but some local guides were not that satisfactory. For example, one of the passengers translated into English for the local guide. Another thing is the changing of busses and passengers, although the tour guide insisted much time on the microphone to those coughing and sneezing to wear a musk, some did not care.

Too much too fast We needed more time in several spots, less in others. TA did not advice about the hectic pace. Madrud and Barcelona were extremely confusing with the changes in buses, groups, guides, etc.
