Pokalde Peak or the Dolma Ri (5806m) is comparatively the easiest climb. Island Peak (6,189m), originally known as the Imja Tse, is located in the heart of the Everest region and derives its name from its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. It is a tougher climb than Pokalde, but still, Mount Lobuche East (6119m) climb is the most challenging of the three. We'll begin our trip following the famous Everest trail via Namche, Tengboche, and Dingboche. The trail to Pokalde Peak deviates from Dingboche while following through the usual route to Everest Base Camp. We will cross the Kongma La pass (5,535 meters) to reach the high camp of the peak. The trek from the camp through the rocky trail eventually rewards you with an extraordinary mountain spectacle including Mt Makalu, Ama Dablam, Pumori, and a vast mountain vista of the Khumbu region. After summiting Pokalde Peak, we trek to Chhukung for our next target, Island Peak. Hard efforts getting to the top of Island peak are worth finding Lhotse, Nuptse, Baruntse, Ama Dablam and Makalu at tip of your nose. Having done Island peak we descend down to Dingboche, trek up to Everest Base camp and Kala Patthar and move forward to Lobuche East peak. Having done with Lobuche East peak, one of the most challenging among 'trekkers peaks' in the Everest region we retrace our path to Lukla via Namche with a sense of achievement.

We went on a 8 day trek to Jomsom/Muktinath. This trek has lost its popularity over the years because of the jeep road, making it easy to cover the distance by car. But that made the experience less touristic and more authentic for us. With on average 6 hours of hiking every day, the views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri (2 of the 10 highest mountains in the world) were stunning. The nature was blooming: Nepal's national flower Rhododendron was flowering in a beautiful dark red color, and we ate delicious, freshly picked Nepali oranges on the way. The culture was most interesting: some of the architecture of the old villages we passed through made you feel like you were going back in time. Most of the people still work by hand. We saw women next to the road smashing large rocks into smaller ones using a hammer! Special thanks to our guide Dev, who is very knowledgeable and caring, and porter/hero Nema, who saved my girlfriends hat which fell into a canyon after a strong wind caught it. We enjoyed every minute with them!

I used this local operator for a solo climb expedition of Chulu West in the Annapurna Region (6419m Peak) Khum and Krishna at the office did a great job in setting everything up and communication during the expedition was easy, fast and efficient. The logistics were taken care of without any major hiccups. This expedition is quite an undertaking with setting up both a base camp on around 5000m and a High Camp around 5600m, but everything went smoothly. The absolut highlight were the guides: - the general guide Bishnu who knows the Annapurna Area inside out - the climbing guide LakCha who is extremely competent and knowledgeable about all aspects of high altitude climbing I cant praise the guides enough and would urge you to request them specifically for any high altitude climbs ! We had a great successful summit day with amazing weather and reached the summit in record time just for sunrise ! I give this operator and Bishnu and LakCha my highest recommendation !
