The trek to Annapurna Base Camp was an unforgettable experience, full of breathtaking landscapes and moments I'll carry with me forever. We did this trip with Nomad, a Portuguese travel agency that organized everything with great care and professionalism. On the ground, we were guided by the amazing local team from Unique Adventure International - big thank you to them for making everything run so smoothly. Our main guide, Dev, was always professional, very kind, Nepali teacher, and fun to be around. Nima, one of the porters, stood out for being constantly present and willing to help - often accompanied the group with a calm, confident energy that made a big difference. Suman, also a porter, was a huge help throughout the trek, and Suzan, our photographer, captured some incredible moments and added great energy to the group. Dhanyavada to all the other porters! It was a truly special journey, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature, culture, and adventure.

I completed the Everest Base Camp trek from 12/20-12/31 and added on two additional day tours in Kathmandu. The trek was incredible and led by Ram, an energetic senior guide, and Raj, a friendly porter. Stunning scenery and an accomplishment I’ll never forget!! On my day tours in Kathmandu, Raju filled my brain with history and cultural insights, while adapting our stops to my interests and selecting great rooftop restaurants. Chhatra was super responsive to all my questions and concerns regarding the trip and COVID-19 logistics. He arranged a PCR test at my hotel for my return to the United States and Raju walked me through picking up the results at the airport and double checking the report details. Top notch transfer service as well. The staff were attentive and provided a safe first experience in Nepal for me, a female and solo traveler. This was an amazing trip made possible by extraordinary guides and drivers. We were met by the lovely Asmita who went to extra mile to prepare us for our trip, and to be sure we had all we needed. She could not be more charming and helpful. On day one, we were driven to the border, very expertly by Raju accompanied by Kersang. We needed an expert as the roads were very windy and not in good condition but it was exciting and we could take in the wonderful scenery and the interesting villages that we passed. After we crossed, the border which took some time we were met by Tarkye our guide and Cedun our driver. Tarkye was a very mature calm guide, solicitous knowledgeable and very caring. Cedun our driver was also very considerate and helpful which we as a group needed as many of us had not fully anticipated the effects of the high altitude. However, we were shepherded in an extraordinary manner through magnificent mountainous terrain, and lake filled scenery seeing yaks and other animals on the way. The monasteries were beautiful and Tarkye could answer any questions we had. This unique and extraordinary trip delivered exactly what it promised. There was a great deal of driving which could be tiring but this was specified up front. Overall, this was an amazing trip, but it was more physically demanding than anticipated because of the altitude and also being in a relatively small enclosed vehicle carrying 12 people with no space in between each person if one person gets sick it spreads through the group has happened for us. Nevertheless this tour is a once in a lifetime experience in a country as yet relatively undiscovered by western tourists. This is an exemplary company that I highly recommend. Many thanks!
