In April 2025 we set off on a trek with the aim of climbing Mera Peak. The journey took us a total of 16 days. The trek was very well organised, thanks to our great guide Chhiyang Banapish we always knew what to expect the next day, we always had enough water and food on the way, he always arranged good accommodation for us and togeher with the porter they took great care of our comfort and safety.
I really appreciate that we went the whole way with one guide, who managed to get to know us during that time (I do not recommend going with a trekking guide and changing guides in Khare, they do not know you, they do not know how you have fared on the trek up to that point). Our guide was very reliable, thanks to him and his proper guidance and sufficient acclimatisation, we managed to reach the summit, although I was tired, but he was able to motivate me and really accompany me to the summit. I would like to thank him and our porter very much, as well as the agency. I would definitely use their services again next time.

We had a really nice time on our three passes Trek. I would definitely recommend doing the three passes over the normal Everest base camp trip as views are much nicer and you see more of the Everest region.
Just don't rush the trip too much as you really need the time for acclimatization. Making the trip longer is always the better option then shorter and we have seen quite some people who had big issues with altitude sickness because they went up too fast. There are several peaks you can add additional to the three passes if you have enough time what I would recommend as well.
Be careful with the guide you get, at the end it is your trip so he should really adapt to your wishes. Here you have to be strict that the guide is following your wishes and not you his.
Yala Peak Climbing is a fantastic two-week adventure in the Himalayas. This exhilarating scaling adventure takes you through the third most famous trekking route in the country, Langtang. In this mixed adventure of trekking and mountain climbing, you will trek through the charming trails of the first Himalayan national park in Nepal, Langtang National Park (est 1976).
Then, closing in with the Tibetan border on the northeast side, you will scale to the summit of this non-technical pristine peak, Yala Peak, at an elevation of 5,500 meters (18,044 feet). Labeled as a ‘trekking peak’ this is the most popular Himalayan mountain expedition in the Langtang Valley Region.

We can highly recommend doing this Trek. It is a tough hiking trek (since you will be at very high altitudes for multiple days in a row) but the views make up for it - the landscape is stunning. Our Guide (Sanchaman Rai) explained a lot and did his best so that we felt always safe and secure. When we could not finish the first pass (Kongma La) - Sanchaman adjusted our plan so that we could do the other two passes, even though we lost a day. All in all it was a great trek with a great tour agency. (Hint: If you think about doing the Trek in less than 16Days - it may be possible, but make sure that you acclimatize correctly otherwise you will not enjoy the experience :-). In our opinion 16 Days is the perfekt amount of time).
Great experience with Khum ji in coordinating the trek, travel in Kathmandu and to Lukla and was lucky to have the best porter/guide Dendi who twice summitted Everest and provided all the help and know about the area. Although lost a few days for not a seat on plane to Lukla, it was a great experience overall.
Lobuche Peak actually includes two different summits, East (6119m.) and West (6145m.). An uninterrupted edge links them but there is a significant distance between the two. The east is identified as a trekking peak while the west is regarded as an expedition peak (meaning that it is only for experienced climbers). This climbing trip is for Lobuche East Peak - a climbing peak, and hence a relatively easy climbing peak (which can be done also if you do not have any previous climbing experience), firstly climbed by Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa in 1984.
Lobuche East Peak, an eye-catching trekking peak, is a great little challenge. Its South Face goes down to the moraines of the Khumbu Glacier. Lobuche East is ascended by moving up a marked notch hiking up steep snowy slopes. Most of the times, the peak is ascended on a ridge leading up to the summit.
Lobuche East peak will reward you stunning views of mighty Mt. Everest as well as many peaks in the Rongbuk region of Tibet. The ecstatic period you will get after scaling one of the famous Peaks in the Everest region will be a memorable experience, rewarded among others by stunning views. Other great mountains that you will witness are Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, and Mt. Makalu. On this trip you will also get several changes to sip tea with local sherpas and hear about their mountain adventures.
This peak is recommended to be done during Mar-June and Sep-Mid-Nov. We are looking forward to providing you with a fantastic climbing experience, even of you are not experienced within mountaineering.

The climb to Island Peak in 2017 was a great accomplishment for me. This was a very beautiful adventure arranged by the local operator. I trekked to Everest Base Camp and on the way back, I crossed the Kongmala Pass and went to Island peak from Chukung. The whole package was well organized, the guide was an experienced guy who trekked over 20 years in the Himalayas. I am very thankful to Upendra for arranging this holiday for me.
