What I appreciated most was the carefully planned itinerary, which took us through Morocco’s most beautiful sites, from the Roman ruins of Volubilis to the majestic Kasbah of Aït Benhaddou.

This tour from Tangier to Marrakech was really above all my expectations. Riding a camel through golden dunes at sunset in Merzouga is just magic and will stay in my memory forever. Indeed, each day was passed with different experiences-from the wanderings around ancient medinas to the revelations of kasbahs hidden from the world. That really made the journey one of great enrichment.

The Rongai route begins at the remote northern side of Kilimanjaro near the Kenyan border. We will be hiking through a true wilderness area towards the jagged Mawenzi Peak then cross a barren desert before climbing up Kibo’s eastern crater wall. The Rongai route is a more slow ascent and is therefore preferred by those with little or no backpacking experience but is equally enjoyable for even the most hardened Kilimanjaro climbers.
During the climb you will have 5 nights of full-service camping, with a private toilet tent. There is a large communal tent, which is used for dining and at other times in the event of inclement weather. Limited single accommodation is also available and includes a single tent as well as the hotel nights.

Mohamed, our tour guide, was really kind and helpful during our time together, and he took very good care of us. The desert is a breathtaking and beautiful place to visit. The accommodations were wonderful, and they even had a pool. Along the route, there were a number of rest spots with restrooms and refreshment areas . We had a great time participating in the many outdoor activities that were available, particularly the horseback riding, hiking, and quad biking. I highly recommend them!
