Jessica, our tour leader, was fantastic. We were a small group of 9 travelers. She ensured everyone understood each days length, difficulty, stops and destination. She waited for the slower travelers and ensured everyone completed each days journey. She also arranged lunches and dinners in advance each day which made the trip run smooth and seamlessly. Well done Explore!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stroll across Northern Spain. This iconic pilgrim path was brought alive by our wonderful tour guide Jessica who’s local knowledge, people skills and instinctive warm and kind ways presented the perfect glue that held together one of the nicest bunches of people that we have had the privilege of spending a perfect time with.

Good communication with/from Explore and very well organised throughout. Helpful and very friendly staff. The holiday was great. Beautiful countryside, lovely accommodation, friendly group. Our Explore leader Jessica was excellent, knowledgeable and encouraging so big thank you to her. I would recommend this trip.

It is exactly what I had in mind. As the name of the tour indicates, the itinerary consists of castles, palaces, forts, medieval and old towns full of history and grand architecture. The pace was just right and the optional tours like the Eagle's Nest and Dinner Cruise in Budapest were some of the highlights of the trip. The tour director and local tour guides provided the much needed background information to appreciate what we were seeing. The only disappointment was the final dinner in Munich. I think Trafalgar went for atmosphere with the beergarten vibes but the food was so bad that almost everyone had to have dinner again in the hotel afterwards. It's too bad because it was the last event and therefore left a lasting bad impression. The tour could add Neuschwanstein Castle in the end as climax of the Imperial theme. Trafalgar could add extra to the price of the tour but people won't mind because of "Disneyland" castle's popularity and it can prove to be a spectacular ending to the trip. A lot of positives, one negative, and one recommendation.

We were able to see all the major highlights in each city, and had some time on our own to explore what interested us the most. It was a great way to see multiple cities in one go.

Our tour guide, Jessica is one who transforms a trip into a lifelong memory. Her personality is pure joy—full of life, smiles, humor, and a sense of adventure that lifts everyone around her. From the very first day, she created an atmosphere of warmth and connection that made our group feel like family. She went above and beyond to ensure gluten‑free options were always available, and she handled it with such care and ease that I never once had to worry. When a health emergency arose, she responded with calm confidence, professionalism, and genuine compassion—exactly what you hope for when you’re far from home. One of Jessica’s greatest gifts is her relationship with the Camino itself. She knows the locals personally—their stories, their quirks, their traditions—and because of that, doors opened for us that most pilgrims never get to see. Everywhere we went, people greeted her with affection, and they welcomed us the same way. Through her, we experienced the culture, history, and heart of each village in a way that felt deeply authentic.
