The host family was lovely, accommodating and friendly. Each meal was delicious and served with warmth and smiles. Our guide, Pete Meyers, was knowledgeable confident and very conscientious. All of our 16 tour members had his attention and focus throughout the week. The areas of the hikes and visits were all stunning and filled with beautiful views, experiences and food!

First tour with Explore - experience exceeded my expectations! Minor negative (also shared by others in the group) was the ‘shared’ accommodation in Gey Village. Ok if I was in my 30’s but I’m in late 60’s. Worth investigating alternative accommodation options even if some additional busing might be required. Otherwise everything (guide, group, food, accommodation, transportation, and hikes/views) great! Won’t be my last tour with Explore!

This is a wonderful trip to 3 countries that many in the west know little about. The itinerary is varied, including beautiful churches, old and modern buildings, historic cities, fabulous food, visits to local winemakers and amazing scenery. Crossing the Selim Pass in Armenia is particularly jaw-dropping. A lot of travelling is involved, but it's worth it to see everything. The guides were excellent. I think it's a fairly demanding trip, with lots of climbing up hills and steps. Sometimes there are alternatives to walking available, sometimes not. In particular, the supposedly easy walk on day 17 is a very steep climb to the top. All in all, these countries are beautiful, with a fascinating and tumultuous history, and well worth a visit. Book a couple of extra days in Baku at the beginning so you can see more of the city, as well as visiting the mud volcanoes and petroglyphs nearby.

This was a wonderful series of moderate to longish walks along the Lycian Way. Our tour leader Nabil was brilliant, always cheerful and engaging and a continual source of local knowledge. Not only does one spectacular view after another open up but there was also a wealth of flora even in November - the cyclamens and crocus were especially lovely. There are also fabulous archaeological sites along the way, with plenty of time allowed to explore. The going is stony, and steep at times - up and down. As a person with heart issues I was concerned that I'd hold the party up, but this didn't seem to be an issue. In fact the pace set suited me perfectly. The accommodation is fairly mixed with one night in very basic village rooms. I enjoyed this as it meant a walk out of the village the following day with the best hiking of the holiday, though I know others found the rooms a touch the wrong side of basic, especially as it involved sharing. Most of the walks featured a minibus journey at one or both ends. Evening meals were usually pretty good too with lunch boxes provided most days. Our group of ten or so was a delight, mostly people travelling on their own which made for lively conversation. Money-wise, this is a good value trip, although Turkey itself is certainly no longer the cheap destination it once was.

A fascinating and varied trip covering key destinations in north Albania, North Macedonia and Kosovo. Hotels were comfortable, although we hadn't appreciated the challenges faced by those living in the Valbona Valley, which was an absolute highlight with stunning scenery. Our guide had an amazing depth of knowledge and shared this with us every day. Just a little more detail about day to day practicalities would be useful, but this didn't take away from his evident passion and enthusiasm about his home country.

Never have I seen such beauty and enjoyed so many places I've only seen in photos. Our Tour Manager, Luigi, was absolutely the most amazing and helpful manager to enhance our experience!! I would highly recommend Collette Tours to anyone who wants to see the best in the country they want to visit!
