This was a great tour - the bikes were really well suited to the terrain. Accommodation was generally great. Navigation with Ride with GPS was really good. We liked that someone met us before we headed out and gave us a road book that we could review each evening before the next day's ride.
I've been wanting to do this trip for many years and it definitely did not disappoint. They made it so easy. All we had to do was show up ready. Everything else was already planned and waiting for us. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
We rode an unguided tour along the Danube from Passau, Germany to Vienna. We flew into and out of Vienna and took a train to Passau without incident. People were friendly, food was good, hotels were excellent. Each town we passed was old and worth seeing.
What a wonderful opportunity to see the Lighthouse Way. As an older solo hiker I wouldn't have attempted it but they made it possible. Thank you. When I wanted to make minor changes the team responded and supported the changes. It's now a happy memory. Again, thanks.
I highly recommend this bike tour. Touring the Mosel on bikes is a great way to immerse yourself in a beautiful part of German life. Most of the people we encountered on the bike path were Germans pedaling by the gorgeousness of the Mosel, sipping Weisswein at Weinhüttes by the river, or camping at one of the many exceptionally charming campgrounds along the way. The accommodations were all comfortable, the bike paths are well maintained and user-friendly, and as a healthy person who does not ride extensively - I was able to complete the journey without any concerns.
We had an amazing adventure and this was helped by the organisation of our trip. Everything went smoothly and they responded quickly when I had a query during the ride.
