Venice Tours in June 2026

A marvellous tour with guide Sylvia and driver Biragio, who went above and beyond to host us. We had an excellent group of fellow travellers and thoroughly enjoyed the journey. A wonderful 12 days in northern Italy. The hotels can be a bit hit & miss but overall wonderful and that didn't affect our enjoyment of the trip. Thanks again to our amazing tour guide Sylvia, you're the best.

'Explore' sums up the holiday. From visiting towns and villages off the beaten track, hearing the local stories behind the castles you see in the mountains to getting advice on the local cuisine. Our tour guide was excellent, the cycling was wonderful, the scenery beautiful, and the added extras like visiting Soave for a wine tasting polished off a fabulous holiday.

The Insight Vacations tour guide was excellent in all aspects: friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and had many recommendations as to food, products to buy, where to eat, where to meet, etc. The itinerary to see locations was well done and included spots that I had not thought of.

This tour was fabulous and certainly was ‘indulgent’. We wandered around many iconic sights of central, eastern and northern Italy, immersed in the diversity of food, wine/liquor, geography and culture with a great group of 12 fellow travellers. We went to many larger towns and villages we would not have discovered ourselves and drove along many country roads in true Back Roads style. Each day was unique and a highlight. The experiences and little treats provided by our tour leader were very enjoyable and fun. We particularly enjoyed Lucca, the truffle hunt, Borromean Islands, cooking class, ferry ride via Portofino, various wine tastings and stops in the beautiful little villages along the way. We were safely driven by our driver Balagio over the challenging roads and guided expertly by our tour leader Sylvia who made a great team to deliver a well organised tour and engaging experience. The hotels varied, some better than others but they were all well located close to the town centre or in spectacular locations. The days at the Tuscan villa in the countryside and Lake Maggiore were also highlights. Highly recommend this tour!

We thought the itinerary was packed with great places in Italy. We covered central Italy starting in Rome then proceeding Florence. From Florence we enjoyed the Tuscany area which included a stop in Pisa. We went on to Cinque Terra then after that we stay on Lake Maggerio. Lastly we drove up to the Dolimite mountains then on to Venice. It was a true essence of italy tour

It was a wonderful tour. Very busy. I was exhausted but wouldn’t change anything. was an amazing Tour Director. He is the one of the reasons the vacation was so enjoyable.
