Excellent

We were very pleased with how well the trip was planned and how well it ran every day. It was all done, and the directions were very clear. The food was great, and the flavors were mostly from the area. The tour guides for the optional tours were very knowledgeable about their subjects and did a great job. In general, it was a good experience.

A wonderful , relaxed week of walking on the Almalfi Coast

I really loved this trip to the Amalfi Coast, and it was just what I was looking for in terms of a relaxing, but active, New Year break. A nice mix of walking and culture, with no early starts or late finishes and plenty of time for a relaxing coffee or two after walks had finished. The Hotel Due Torri where you stay for the whole week is a family run hotel with a nice atmosphere, delicious food, and a fabulous range of cocktails (the limoncello spritz was the 'drink of the holiday'!). Enjoyed the opportunity to visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as a trip to the crater of Vesuvius. Thanks also to our tour leader Teresa for helping to make this a fabulous week.

Amazing Amalfi

There is a reason while Amalfi is one of the best selling tours offered by Exodus Tours. It is a gorgeous place to visit (even in January when it is freezing cold!) I love the variety of expeditions. My favorites were hiking 3,000 steps down to Amalfi, walking the Path of the Gods and celebrating January 1 on the Circuito Tre Calli. I also enjoyed the private tours of Pompei and Herculaneum.

Ms.

This was my first time traveling for pleasure completely alone, and I didn't really know what to expect. I think I thought it would mostly be a nice break in between jobs, perhaps some time alone for self-reflection and contemplation in a stunningly beautiful place. It was all that but actually so much more for me. As a self-described "city slicker," I was pretty much a novice at this hiking thing, and the week was full of experiences that kept pushing me, and challenging me to grow. Each day felt special and offered something different. Pictures cannot do justice to what you need to see in person. In these beautiful coastal towns, when the sun melts into the horizon, and the dusky mountains hug the sky, you don't know where one ends and one begins. I went in November, which is the off season, and was anxious about how the rain/weather might impact the tour. But even on the day(s) that it rained, that only added to the atmosphere and sense of adventure. It was special seeing the Amalfi Coast at a time when there were no tourists.

The best way to see the Amalfi Coast

Our week on the Amalfi Coast became one of our best holidays which we will always remember. We had wanted to see Amalfi and this part of Italy and this holiday certainly gave us an excellent chance to experience this area through the walks, excursions and visits to local businesses/cafes. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and went out of their way to make your holiday something special and hassle free. Suzy our group leader was always a ray of sunshine and delighted in sharing her knowledge of the area. The walks did encompass some challenging terrain on loose scree, steep inclines/declines but you always felt confident and safe in Suzy's capable hands. This was a holiday where everything came together to make it wonderful in every way - beautiful scenery, everyone in the group getting along, glorious weather and excellent food. I would not hesitate to recommend both this tour company and this particular trip.
