Naples Tours in October 2027

I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. I experienced the Amalfi Coast in a much more intimate setting yet seeing much much more of the coast than I ever anticipated, thanks to our excellent and caring guide, Gennaro. The hikes were challenging but Gennaro was excellent in helping me to adjust to the pace that I needed. The views everyday were well worth the amount of steps I had to climb. The hotel staff was excellent and nice to have a quiet town to return to each evening away from the large tourist crowds in each town.

We absolutely loved our Amalfi trip with Back Roads and tour leader Annalise, who was very informative, organised and fun, with excellent English and a great sense of humour. The bus was brand new with a wonderful driver Giovanna and the hotels we were placed in were generally excellent. Minori was a great place to stay. We particularly enjoyed visiting more off the tourist map places like Ravello and the activities we participated in, the cookery class in a Baronesses home and tile painting were lots of fun. Provided meals out were always different and superb. A fun group to travel with as well. We will Return to Back Roads.

This was a fantastic holiday. The Amalfi coast is beautiful and fascinating! Our tour leader, Gennaro, was very knowledgeable and full of enthusiasm about the area and was a pleasure to spend time with. The hotel was lovely and the family who run it were very friendly and helpful.

What a fantastic week! The hiking is varied and you will pass through all those wonderful towns and villages that you have dreamt of visiting. The scenery just gets better and better and the highlight for me was the iconic ‘Path of the Gods’. That said every day had something to offer and we had free time to wonder, shop and enjoy a drink or ice-cream. The local village near to the farm also has a lovely vibe and there are bars, restaurants to enjoy. Which we did! Nigel our Guide was excellent. He knew every step of the routes and was spot on when arranging transport links which was key. His sense of humour really brought the group together and he kept us all safe and explained in detail the itinerary for each day. What a week and what a group. I highly recommend this adventure!

The tour indeed takes you to back road places with excellent local guides to explore the area. The primary tour guide was very capable, kind and informative. Our fellow tour members were an affable group of mostly retired folks from Australia, curious and friendly. One plus is staying five nights in one hotel. That hotel is in a delightful Amalie town but has rather small rooms. One caution- be prepared for some full days with lots of walking.

This was our first tour experience. The pace was a little intense for us, but the size of the group was very appealing. The group was very compatible and the company was delightful. We enjoyed being the only Americans among Aussies and New Zealanders. The active experiences like cooking and painting tiles and access to local small farms and businesses were treats. The tour guide was such a pleasure to be with and extraordinarily knowledgeable, organized, competent and charming. The local guides and the driver were also outstanding.
