Tour the outback and explore the country’s vast remote interior (don't miss the iconic Uluru Rock formation) before heading to the Gold Coast for some of the world’s best surfing. Australia Highlight

What makes Australia unique compared to other destinations?

Australia stands out for its extraordinary mix of natural wonders, ancient culture, and vibrant modern cities. From colourful coral reefs and ancient rainforests to the red outback, iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, and world-famous beaches such as Bondi, it offers an incredible variety of experiences in one destination. Add to that the world’s oldest continuous Indigenous culture, and Australia feels unlike anywhere else.

Australia's Hidden Gem

One lesser-known, off-the-beaten-path destination in Australia and why is it special?

Lake MacDonnell on the Eyre Peninsula is a hidden gem known for its striking bright pink waters. Its unusual colours and remote setting make it one of Australia’s most memorable off-the-beaten-path sights.

Australian Way of Life

What are some key cultural insights you think travelers should know before arriving in Australia?

Travelers should know that Aboriginal Australians are the First Peoples of Australia and belong to one of the world’s oldest continuous cultures, with a history stretching back tens of thousands of years. There are many distinct language groups and cultural traditions across the country, each with deep connections to the land. Learning about and respecting Indigenous culture adds real depth to any trip to Australia.

Tips for Australia Travel

Are there any common mistakes travelers make when visiting Australia that they could avoid?

One common mistake is underestimating Australia’s size and the travel distances between destinations. Another is assuming Australia and New Zealand are closely interchangeable—they are very different countries with their own identities, despite some similarities like their flags.

Australia Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Australia tours

I left a review when I was in Broome staying a couple of extra nights at Cable Beach Resort.. they did have internet problems so maybe that is why my review has not been received??? The whole trip exceeded my expectations… I was sceptical about going on a bus trip again after one I did in Canada with Evergreen. I chose AAT Kings because they have been doing these tours for years! I couldn’t fault anything & would & have always highly recommend AAT Kings Nellie & Terry were fabulous & Nellies knowledge of the area is astounding!..They made the experience really enjoyable… Nellie helped me with another plane trip that I added while in Broome & I’m so glad I spoke to her about it as it was incredible.

Everything was well organised and our driver and tour leader were amazing. Accommodation was excellent and no complaints at all .

Overall an excellent experience and trip. I was disappointed that the package I secured back in August 2025 was changed without notification to me. In the original package many meals were included, however during the trip I had to purchase several meals as they had been removed from the itinerary. Over $200 worth that should have been included. This outback adventure in Australia was one of the best trips of my life and I have traveled a lot. The tour was well organized and run. The tour director was phenomenal. The outback itself was the best part of the trip though.
