Originally from Germany, I started my professional life as a chef. In 1992 I went to Australia to work, and I ended up staying on and founding a travel company with my sister Frances in 2009. After a break, we re-launched in 2017 with great success.

I love traveling and I chose Australia as my home to showcase the beauty of this country to other travelers. In 2019, we also added New Zealand to our portfolio. I love to travel with small groups to see the excitement in their eyes when we show them special places and hidden secrets.

I live in Australia with my 2 dogs and also have a daughter who was born here. In terms of travel, I am more the relaxed food-driven type— I love a great meal with paired wine or beer.

I specialize in Australia! I personally love the outback of Australia in particular, the different colors, sounds, and landscapes. The coastline is also great and of course, the city life.

All our tours are bespoke and not one is the same as the previous one. I chose the mid to high-end market to promote and give our clients the best experience. Escorting small groups is also my specialty, with local knowledge and expertise all around Australia.

In terms of activities, I love food and wine and can organize foodies tours or advise on places to eat and drink around the country. Four-wheel drive off-road adventures are also high on my list as well as flying by helicopter and seeing the sites from another perspective.

David's best travel experience

One of my most memorable travel experiences was a wedding organized in Port Douglas where I had the opportunity to fly by helicopter to a beach with just the wedding couple, caterer, and pilot. We departed from Thala Beach Resort and experienced a spectacular flight over the Great Barrier Reef and Green Island.

Another was escorting a couple through Victoria in a Land Cruiser and showing them the best sites available from Melbourne to the great Ocean Road and Grampians back to Melbourne
