Honest insights from past guests on our Beach Indonesia tours

Overall and excellent trip with a diverse group of 10 travellers. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour especially the boat trip to Rinko and Komodo islands. Flores is under development and extremely rural with glorious verdant vegetation and stunning landscapes. A real ‘away from it all’ destination. Bali was very busy with dreadful traffic, however the area this tour goes to offered some tranquility from the hubbub. The boat trip exceeded expectations, was very comfortable with great friendly service. Despite being told we would have a shared multi-berth cabin, we had our own with bathrooms! To finish at the beach in Jimbaran was a great way to relax and restore our energy before the long journey home. Tip: massages are excellent and very cheap!! Highlight: Komodo dragons, snorkelling on pink beach -fabulous!

Bali is absolutely lovely and this experience made it even more special. Our guide, was amazing – patient, knowledgeable, and so encouraging. I went scuba diving for the first time, and it was unforgettable! The whole team made me feel comfortable and safe, and once we got in the water, it was like a whole new world opened up. Everything was well-organized and the day felt smooth from start to finish. Couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to diving, and I’d recommend this to anyone visiting Bali!

Highlight was obviously seeing the dragons on Rinca and Komodo islands. Our guide, Peter, was exceptional, well organised and available. We were lucky to have a small group on the boat, a full group would be very crowded. Worth staying another day at the end.

The most incredible experience!

This trip was by far the best group trip I’ve been on so far! We had the opportunity to visit so many incredible places and explore different communities. The perfect mix of partying and cultural experiences. I particularly enjoyed the 3 day boat trip around Komodo. The group was absolutely fantastic and our tour leader Ovinda was just amazing, she really went above and beyond to make the trip extra special and was always there to help with anything we needed. Thank you so much Ovinda and team!

The best trip ever :)

Ovinda was truly an amazing tour guide! Every day she gave us a clear briefing and then also shared it via WhatsApp, which gave me clarity and helped me know what to expect. On top of that, she joined us at many delicious local food spots, which was such a great experience. Ovinda was also very supportive during the activities. For example, while snorkeling the current was very strong, and I felt like I couldn’t (or didn’t dare to) continue. But thanks to Ovinda’s help, I was still able to do it — and I’m so happy I didn’t miss out on that experience 🐠. She also regularly checked in to ask if everything was okay, which I really appreciated because it made me feel seen and included in the group. She involved everyone and created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Ovinda truly completed this group trip and I couldn’t have wished for a better guide😊🫶🏼

Ovinda 18 days Bali & Beyond Tour

I had an amazing time at the 18 days Bali & Beyond Tour. Ovinda is so professional, yet so approachable. She made you feel like you had the space to address even the smallest problem. You weren't left alone with anything. Ovinda clearly enjoys her job, and her positive energy is contagious. Thank you so much for that!

Travel tips for beach tours in Indonesia

  • Consider renting a motorbike or hiring a driver, especially in Bali, as some beaches are quite remote.
  • Consider investing in a waterproof bag or case to protect your valuables.
  • Be mindful of beach safety signs and flags. A red flag indicates dangerous currents, and swimming is strongly discouraged in these areas. If there's a yellow flag, it means that a lifeguard is on duty.
  • Plan your trip around Bali's rainy season (January to April and October to November) to maximize outdoor activities.
  • If you plan to surf, consider bringing your board for optimal experience. Most of the public transportation in Indonesia charges extra for boards, so renting a motorbike with board-carrying attachments might be a more convenient option.
  • Download offline maps to navigate your way, especially in areas where the internet service is out of reach.
  • Always buy bottled water and dispose of plastic bottles properly in designated areas. Indonesia strives for sustainable tourism, so be mindful of the environment during your beach tours.
